We get huge snowstorms in Truckee, CA. We have a top of the line Honda, but wanted something for the deck and smaller areas. See photos below of clearing the deck on one battery charge. Would chop down the height, but still had a huge volume of snow that had to be thrown up and over the snow wall to clear off the deck. The SnowJoe 100V is starting to replace the Honda as is so much easier to manage. We bought a second SnowJoe to do all of the work at our Reno home. Electric is the way to go!

I live in Montana where we get a decent amount of snow. I purchased mine in November and only once have I been able to finish my driveway without it constantly stopping and/or quitting. What a waste of money!

Snow Joe iON100V paper weight

I bought one of these last season. This season the scraper disintegrated making the snow blower essentially useless. I’ve call, messaged and added my email to their notification system, yet no part. They have told me multiple times, the part is in high demand and it will be in soon. Nope. Essentially what I now own is an expensive paper weight. If the part is in high demand and this is a new product it tells me it was poorly built.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received the Snow Joe iON100V-21SB Brushless Lithium-iON Cordless Variable Speed Single Stage Snowblower | 21-Inch | 100-Volt | 5-Ah just in time . We had a blizzard in New York . it just blew the snow away and we had a path instantly . I would highly recommend this product especially if you get a lot of snow like we do.

It survived my expectation

For now, it seems to be a very good machine, i have bought 2 batteries with this unit.
It can go through 12 inch of semi compact snow with ease (not the fluffy one, the one who has accumulated over multiple snow fall) by going a bit slower...i did my entire roof (30´ X 30´) on one charge with 2 batteries.

But remember if you consider buying this unit, it is not made for plowing throught big chunk of ice.

Huge improvement!

I was previously using the Snow Joe iON8024-XRP, but was disappointed with the product. I wanted the iON100V-21SB because I thought it would be a better unit. I am happy to report that the iON100V-21SB is a huge improvement over the iON8024-XRP! The time it takes me to snow blow my driveway has been cut in half since switching to the new unit.
Things I didn't like about the iON8024: You had to walk very slow to blow snow. The chute motor often was not powerful enough to rotate the chute. I bought the bigger capacity batteries, but they often ran out of steam before I finished my driveway.
Things I like about the iON100V: You can snow blow as fast as you can walk! The chute motor rotates the chute effortlessly and quickly. I purchased a second battery. The two batteries have plenty of power left after I finish my driveway. I like that this unit is not self-propelled because all of the power goes into blowing snow and its easy to push and turn.
My driveway is mostly flat, with a slight slope at the entrance. Pushing this unit on a flat surface or a down a slope is easy. Pushing this unit up a slope while blowing snow is a little tricky. To get up my slope, I pull the unit up the part I just cleared without blowing snow and then go back down the slope blowing snow.
I highly recommend this product!

The older version (100V) didn't work at all

The majority of reviews here are for the 100V version, not the 4x24V version, so beware. I have the predecessor to the 4x24V (96V)...The 100V...but it looks like they took the 100V and combined it with the 96V reviews. So my review goes here now. The 100V was complete trash. I went through 3 of them and none of them worked. They all stopped when they hit 2 inches of powder. Went through multiple units and batteries. All trash. Here's hoping that they fixed those issues with the 96V version.
