Great blender, great food processor attachment.

This is a great system. It is my first Vitamix, and both the blender and the food processor attachment are wonderful. I had to adjust to having so much more power in the blender, but it has been a great improvement from my old KitchenAid blender. I would never go back.

This is my second Vitamix. I upgraded from the Explorian and wanted the food processor attachment. Considering the price of the products this system was a good deal. So far the quality is what I would expect from a Vitamix product. Very happy with the purchase.

I returned this. After 3 uses, the food processor was no longer being detected on the base. When I spoke with customer service and declined the offer of a replacement, the agent told me they have been having issues with it. ?!?!? Then why continue to offer it until the bugs are worked out? I opted for a more basic machine, returning to the Legacy series and a separate food processor like I had prior to purchasing this model. Vitamix is an excellent product historically but this particular model just isn't up to par.

This is simply a powerful blender with food processor. I would have appreciated having a dicing slicer on one of the discs. Otherwise, it is great.

I am now old enough to write, they don't make like they used to. I am disappointed in the appliance industry on a whole. This is our second Vitamix, the first one lasted over 15 years. We intentionally chose this model as it has buttons. (Dear Appliance designers, just because it can have a touch screen does not mean it should, especially if most users will have wet hands when using.) The plastic is horrific compared to the older model. Instead of using a rubber top, it is plastic and has to bend to seal, I predict this will break first. It just feels cheap, and it was more expensive than previous one. It makes smoothies, but frequently stops as our old kitchen may have some load issues the Vitamix doesn't like.

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to provide us this feedback. Please know that if your Vitamix shut down while you were blending, it is likely it temporarily overheated. Sometimes the machine may emit a burning odor and/or stop temporarily because its thermal protector sensed that the machine was close to overheating. If this occurs, we recommend turning the power switch off for up to 45 minutes, allowing the machine to cool down or reset. To avoid overheating your machine in the future, be sure to ramp the machine up to the highest speed within five seconds of turning it on to activate the cooling fan in the motor. New machines are much more sensitive to this feature, it is there to protect your machine.

Great products! I love using the products and they serve my needs. I use the food processor almost daily. I have not used the blender yet. My one complaint is with removing the lid from the food processor; hence my four stars. I wish it would easier to take off. I fear I would break the tabs every time I try to take it off. Please improve the design. Thank you.
