Impressive blending power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always had 2 separate machines for a blender and a food processor but am beyond excited to have them both in one machine! Impressive power and spending. Only thing I have had trouble with food processor was slicing of cheese. It hunker up in lid a bit. Other than that wow! I am a bit afraid it is going to come off the base during blending but it hasn’t yet.

Switch from my ninja after comparing results to a friend's Vitamix. Could not be happier! Smooth smoothies, rapid blend, easy cleaning, compact storage, no stand alone additional motor for food processor. I love it!

Top of Food Processor is dificult to remove.To take it off I have to hug it to my body and pull up on tab and when it releases, I turn it around to pull off the other tab. I have broken a fingernail doing that. I called Vitamix about it and they said it should fit tightly, but I don't think it should fit that tight. My husband has a hard time taking the lid off as well. Other than that, the processor works fine.

Great blender! We went with a cheaper brand option a few years ago and it was such a disappointment. We finally decided to invest in a Vitamix and have been really glad we did. We use it every morning for green drink. Love it for smoothies. My husband enjoyed the food processor. Although, the cheese grater attachment is a bit extreme if you need to grate a small amount of cheese. :) Yes, it is loud, but it doesn’t seem more than any other blender and there is power behind the sound.

Its a great blender and yet over heats easily

I really love this combo. I am enjoying it a lot.
I am giving it 4 stars because the blender seems to overheat easily. I will make nutmilk and then a smoothie and midway through the smoothie the blender will overheat and stop for almost 20 minutes. I have had 2 vitamix blenders over the years and they have definitely been hardier. They rarely over heated unless making nut butters. Now the new blender overheats while making gentler foods. I realize its trying to protect the motor and that is good, but it just seems a lot more sensitive.

It took me a little while to pull the trigger on purchasing, because it’s most definitely an investment piece. But after weighing the options, and being made fun of by my coworkers at the amount of research and comparing I was doing, and being reminded by my husband that we’ll spend that amount and then some over the years to replace blenders and food processors anyways, I took the plunge. From the moment I ordered my Vitamix, I’ve been excited and continue to be every time I use it! As someone who mostly does homemade, this has been a game changer! I will absolutely be purchasing more attachments too! (just maybe slowly lol)
