Needs Improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from someone that has naturally curly hair and straightens it every day, this product could use some improvement. The first thing I noticed right out of the box was the cord. Its very thin & flimsy. Gives the impression of low quality & cheap. The next thing I noticed was how heavy it was compared to other brands I have used in the past and currently. Moving on to powering it on. It took me several pushes of the button just to get it on. It feels and looks cheap.
Pros:
It did make my hair super smooth with zero frizz
It has a locking mechanism to keep it closed during storage
Cons:
Heavy
Only goes to 400 degrees (every other product like this I have used goes to 450)
Takes 4-5 passes through each piece of hair to get it smooth, therefore taking much longer to get your hair done
Makes a buzzing noise; this is intentional and did not bother me much but for those with sensory issues, it could be extremely annoying. It sounds like a fly or bug is flying by your head
The power button and the heating button are placed exactly in the spot where your hand naturally rests. I found that I kept hitting the temp button causing the heat to lower
It only has 5 heat settings. There isn't an ability to set it to the exact temp you want, like other brands offer

On par with top of the line flatirons

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't purchased a straightening iron in about ten years, but I feel pretty confident that I can say this one is on par with the few higher-end ones that ive used (which cost a lot more). There are several bells and whistles that I noted: he ceramic coating, the ionizing, the temperature control. The plates have some movement/swivel to them which maybe is the smoothwrap part? I have very thick, long, curly hair. So flatirons are definitely something I can give a true test to! I've use this product twice since getting it. Once on freshly dried hair and again for touch-ups. When i touch up my hair it's pretty serious. This time it had rained a lot and I worked out and so my hair was super puffy from all the humidity. I used some primer spray and heat protectant and just dove right in. It definitely got my hair smoother and it still had some body to it. I am impressed! I had actually moved away form using flat irons a lot because my hair looked too flat, but with this one--something about it has kept my hair from losing too much volume at the root. I'm not sure what the ions do, or the swivel plates, but this iron seems efficient and like a great value. Oh, forgot to mention but I used this iron on the highest heat setting both times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the product for free in exchange for writing a review. My review is unbiased. I am not incentivized to write a fake review. I received the smoothwrap 1" in the mail and the box was really nice and sturdy. I opened it and took out the product and was immediately impressed with the weight and quality. I have a chi 1' and was expecting this to be lacking in comparison, but it is actually great. I love that the cord spins so it does not get all tangled. It heated up very quickly and I was able to test it. I tested it with straightening as well as adding curls and both worked perfectly. It has push buttons with lights to choose the heat setting and it also has a lock button to lock it in the closed position which is fantastic
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used flat irons along time and love them, I've owned many different ones. I like this one. It does very well with my hair and gives it a straight flat smooth look. It does pull some bit with smaller widths of hair it does great. I drive a jeep and jeep hair is always an issue, love my tops off. This product done well and held my hair straight! I was surprised at that. I would definitely recommend and continue using this product.

Smooth and Sleek!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I only had a few minutes to do my hair this morning, and I whipped out my new Smoothwrap flat iron, and within minutes it was heated up, and I had perfectly smooth waves in my hair. This thing works so good, and it looks cool, too. It has a light by the plates!

Great flat iron

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this flat iron for the last 5 days and my hair has been so smooth. I use a flat iron daily. It glides through my hair nicely and doesn't catch or pull my hair at all. I also like that the plates are curve so you don't get that weird crease you can get with other flat irons. The heat goes up to 400 but I've not done that hot. I try not to go that high. It thinks it's a great flat iron for the price!

I also love using it to get curls and they hold all day. The flat iron is sturdy and not cheaply made I love it!

Smooth iron

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used my new flat iron, and I was very impressed with how smooth that iron slides across my hair. I can definitely tell that it helps the hair retain some Valium. I can't say I noticed a significant increase or change in the volume of my hair, but it did it, leave my hair feeling soft and silky. I love the lock unlock feature. I also felt like even on the highest settings my hair was not as damaged as when I used previous flat irons. Not very heavy and easy to use. Color is cute. The only thing I haven't been able to figure out is using it to curl.
