Wow what a difference

I really like my Mini+ and my Pro, but I have trouble connecting my phone to the mini. I had trouble with the Pro, too, but it is now connected. I just can't connect with the Mini and have to adjust speed, etc. manually.

Not recommended for baby's room

Pro: did a decent job at cleaning the air for a couple months. Cons: This product gets marketed heavily to new parents but if you are planning to put it in your child's bedroom, beware. First of all, it glows through the air intake at the bottom and the light can not be turned off or covered, so say goodbye to a dark sleeping environment. Second, the wifi light and change air filter lights are extremely bright and will come on and blink whenever, lighting up the room like daytime. Third, the unit is completely incompatible with humidifiers that so many parents run occasionally in their children's bedrooms. If it's in auto protect and a humidifier is on, Molekule will turn itself up to the highest speed (loud). You may think, ""no problem, I will turn it down manually from the app while my child is sleeping."" Sure, that will work if you're lucky enough to have a unit that doesn't constantly disconnect itself from the app and need to be Manually reset (ie by going in your kids room and waking them up). Finally, good luck getting the unit to power on again when you change the air filter. So much hype and $$ for a machine plagued by issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Helps alleviate my allergies during Spring

I backed the original Kickstarter campaign, and have both a Molekule Air and a Molekule Air Mini+. For me personally, the Molekule devices have worked very well to alleviate my seasonal allergies that occur during Spring each year. The pre-filters definitely capture dust, since I can see it clearly each time I replace the filters.

Breathing Easier in Every Way

I first learned of the Molekule air filtration system from my daughter. She had purchased one for her home and was so excited to share how she loved how clean it made the air. My grandchildren were having chronic colds despite healthy diets and living. Kids just catch colds as they build their immune systems. The level of purification that the Molekule provides removes viruses from the air. In this way, she could keep the family healthier and I immediately noticed they weren't sick as often. I live in a town with a pulp mill. When the toxic fumes are blown in the direction of my home, it is the most unpleasant experience imaginable. Although they claim that the fumes are not toxic, the headaches and nausea that resulted from inhaling the polluted air told a different story. The ionizer I had plugged in did nothing to mitigate the foul stench or sick feeling. When I would leave, I would plug in an ozone generator to remove the odor from my home, which was great, as long as I wasn't home... So the great thing about the Molekule is that I can actually be at home and not have any concern about breathing! Imagine that. Even with the windows open, it filters the air as soon as it enters my home, and in addition to improving the (nasty) smell from the mill, it also eliminates mold, mildew, pet dander from my sweet pup, and the air is virus free as well. It is amazing. I can now escape the seasonal pollen and have relief from allergy symptoms by coming indoors. The smoke from my wood stove doesn't leave a film of ash everywhere. But wait, there's more! In 2018 the first wildfire smoke arrived where I live. It was the worst air quality imaginable. Since becoming the happy owner of a Molekule air purifier, the wildfire smoke has worsened each summer but the filter keeps it out of my home, out of my lungs. In the summer of 2020 when my friends in Oregon told me how hard it was to replace the Hepa filter on their air cleaner, they sent me a photo of one of the ""used"" filters after ONE WEEK OF USE. It was BLACK. And finding a new one took days of calling stores and trying to get there in time before the shelves emptied. I told them about the Molekule and how the PecoTM filter system only requires replacing once every 6 months and has little to do with the way it purifies the air. Lastly, I am 65, disabled and live on a fixed income. It is hardly enough and I couldn't imagine how it would be possible to purchase this amazing device. It turns out that they work with a finance company called Affirm, and when I chose that option during the check out process, my low (and affordable even to me) monthly payments were INTEREST FREE. It just can't get any better! I consider the Molekule part of my survival kit. No matter what happens in our ever changing environment, I know that I will always be able to breath cleane air in my home. It is one of the best investments I have ever made for my personal well-being. And knowing my grandkids are breathing clean air is so comforting to this grandmother!

Maintains a fresh and clean indoor air quality. I have two units which are placed in the living and bedroom areas and blend it with the room decor. Will acquire another pro unit before the summer is over.

High Pitched Whine

This machine makes a high pitched whine that makes it difficult to use during sleep. During the day it can get distracting as well. There's are also no indication for UV light repair in the chance that the light goes out. Having purchased a few UV light products during this pandemic, I know out of experience that they do burn out at some point. And the recommendation for this machine is to keep it on 24/7. I have a Dyson air purifier but it doesn't kill bacteria. Dyson fans make a white noise sound but never had any experience with a high pitched noise. The Molokule purifier would be perfect if it weren't for the high pitched noise.

OK but giving off a smell

I was given this as a gift during fire season. I live in a small studio and it appeared to work just fine. I can't say that I noticed a perceivable difference but because of the air quality, I kept it on as a precaution. Lately it started giving off a smell which caused me to turn it off. I turned it back on recently and the smell is still there, and it appears it's getting ready for a new filter since the first warning light came on. I haven't read anyone complaining of such a thing but it's real on my end so I've stopped using.
