Immediately noticeable.

The Molekule Air Mini is perfect for a bedroom as we both suffered from an allergic reaction to our cat who likes to sun herself in the bedroom while we're away at work. In addition, we live in a coastal climate prone to mold as well as an area prone to wildfires. While we're only a few days in after easily setting up the Mini (I actually like there is no app and the controls are simple and the fan is whisper quiet on lower settings) and letting it run on its highest setting for over an hour. We also vacuumed the space during the first few minutes to kick up dust and dander. By that evening, the room was noticeably ""fresher/cleaner"" feeling and smelling. Not scientific, but tangible. The real test was my first night's sleep. No stuffed up nose in the morning! That's amazing! Also, I finding I am not sneezing or reacting to the space as I was before. Like I said, we are only four days in too soon to really tell if there are long term benefits here but right off the bat, I feel better. I have no regrets.

Started using AirMini for my bedroom couple of weeks back, and I can say it has been very effective for my family who has seasonal allergies.

We bought both the Molekule Air and the Mini. They both work very well and you can feel the difference in the air. While the Molekule Air is very quiet, the Mini is very loud at setting of 3 or above. We have it in our bedroom and had to turn it way down in order to reduce the fan noise. We intended to get one more Mini, but will not and will consider another large model later.

I was an early purchaser of the full size molekuke. I have had it for a couple years and I love everything about it. I bought this for my bedroom. Perhaps I am unfairly comparing the mini to it. The only control on the mini is fan intensity. My husband can't sleep with it even on the lowest setting. So it is off many hours a day. It is in the upstairs of out house and on full fan I can hear it in the basement. The noise is very distracting. Even on fan setting 3 of 5 I can hear it on the first floor. So unless I leave the house ( which I have done) and leave it in high, I'm not really getting the full capacity of the unit. I don't understand why the fan is so loud, much louder than the full model on high. I was very excited when this product was announced but after using it for a while I am disappointed.

Nice but...

We have had a Molekule Air for over one year now, and decided to try the Mini for a small upstairs room. And honestly, I am not over thrilled with the Mini. The quietness and manageability (i.e., BlueTooth, Internet-connected) of the Molekule Air is great. The Mini, however, is loud enough at setting 3 or higher that I have to turn it down when I am on a phone call, and the Mini also has no manageability capabilities at all. Before I invest more $$$ in another Mini, I will have to see significant improvements in the noise and manageability of the product.

Works fine, but is noisy

It was easy to set up, and it seems to work. However, the fan is noisy above one or two clicks, and mine makes a rattling noise occasionally, and it's a loud enough rattle to wake me up in the middle of the night. The blue light is also noticeable in a dark bedroom, so I have to wear a sleep mask now, as there doesn't appear to be a dark mode like there is on the larger model.

The new Mini

When I ordered my big Molekule, I requested a travel version. I moved around a lot this summer and though the Mo moves easily with its handle, I definitely knew I was packing something along. It's good that it is solid, and my Mo changed my life! No more having a Kleenex in my hand all the time! I sometimes have problems if I get into allergens when I am out and about, but as soon as I get home to my Mo, all is great! I was so pleased when they announced the Mini, I pre-ordered. I have had it for about a week now and love it! Yes, it is crazy noisy on the highest setting, but I am good with that. My air cleaners have always been my white noise and it helps me sleep through the garbage trucks that run around starting at 3 AM! I definitely notice the difference in the freshness of the air. My Mini stays in my bedroom now though I hope to get an inverter soon so I can use it in a car. So my big Molekule now gets to sit in the living room instead of moving back and forth. No app is fine with me too! It is super to have it be so lightweight and it will go with me everywhere I go this summer. I think every one should have a Molekule because virtually every product we bring into our homes is loaded with toxic stuff and having something that eats those pollutants is definitely needed! Thank you, Molekule developers, for a positive change in my allergic life!!!

Not much difference from traditional HEPA

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS The Molekule Air Mini lacks differentiators from competitors. The Mini has a minimalistic design with clean lines. It can fit on a night stand, but will likely consume the usable space. Unlike the the original Molekule Air, luxury design elements like touch screen, metal and leather are absent on the Mini. The Mini doesn't look all that different from common cylindrical HEPA filters. The one touch button is poorly conceived design requiring you to cycle through the 5 speeds to adjust power, which inevitably increase the noise. At the time of writing this, THERE IS NO INTERNET CONNECTIVITY. For a premium product not to be connected to a smart home is a serious oversight. This may have been avoided because the original Molekule Air has constant connectivity problems with the app. DESIGN Unlike the original Molekule, there is no setup process. You plug in the Mini just like any other basic HEPA filter. There are no guided setup process for room size or noise level. To know how high to set the speed, you have to rely on your ""feeling"". Or search the FAQ for a generic statement that bedrooms are recommended for speed 2. Relying on feeling is the first sign from Molekule that their product may not be able to compete and hope for the placebo effect. The original app does not have any air quality measurement even though the guided setup pretended to be smart with preconditioning, etc. Compare this with other air purifiers at this price point and they have graphs that display the air quality over time. Forget about even hoping for this functionality in the Mini as it didn't even ship with an app. Missing Features: -Does NOT have auto mode -Does NOT have ability to schedule -Does NOT have air quality measurement -Does NOT have night mode PERFORMANCE Full disclosure, I monitored the air quality with a competing air filter which allows for passive monitoring. The Molekule Air Mini was able to maintain a kid's room with doors closed at Good average AQ index at a speed of 2 for the most part. However, there were spikes in the VOC level each day to Moderate. This was not possible in the larger master bedroom at speed of 2. I had to constantly adjust the speed up while away and hope to maintain Good AQ at night or when in the room after turning down the Molekule do to noise. NOISE LEVEL The mini is not quiet and approaches loud. The recommended setting for a standard bedroom is 2, which is barely low enough volume to sleep next to the bed. If you need a whitenoise generator to sleep, this may be okay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
