[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome charger for your next ride. Great level two charger the chargers, my Ford Mach E what seems like no time. The installation process is seamless because there is a QR code on the box that lets you arrange for installation through a local professional the build quality is second to none, I would definitely buy this product again. Looking forward to getting a Tesla in about six months to use with it as well. Thank you influencer for another great product.

EASY INSTALL & OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very pleased with Schumacher's charging station, the SEV1600P1450 Level 2 EV Wall Charger! The installation was relatively simple and the performance of this model was most impressive. The box contents included everything you needed to install the wall charger with the exception of a tool or two. Also, you may notice that I did use an adapter with this model to charge my vehicle that does not come with the model. Most of you may not need an adapter. As far as the installation goes, you are given the ability to plug this model into a wall outlet or hardwire it. For the time being, I did choose to plug-in to a wall outlet. With that being said, I highly recommend using an electrician for that part, whether you plug-in to a wall outlet or hardwire it, unless you're very familiar with that aspect of the installation. The actual charging center or box was unique in that Schumacher provided dual docking for
the actual charging wand. Depending on how
you install the charging station, you may have a
need for the charging wand to be on one side
as oppose to the other and thanks to this wall
charger having a holder on each side, it doesn't
become an issue. With that being said, you can also switch from side to side depending on your needs. Another unique benefit to owning this particular wall charger is the LED charging wand that attaches to your car. It slowly & subtly flashes green as it's charging. I think this is a great bonus, because it notifies you that it's powered up correctly and that it's currently charging. If it's dark out, it can also serve as an easy guide to unattach when charging is complete. Another feature that I liked was the cradle that comes with this model and is designed to attach to the bottom of the charging station to hold the cord/cable when not in use. That's standard across most models I believe, but this particular cradle doesn't have to be attached to the charging station. You can actually install separately and that's for people who feel they may want or need the cord/cable positioned a little differently. Either way, it's nice to have that option. This model can operate up to up to 50 amps, which is great. Because I used the plug-in, mine was powering at around 40 amps when in use and I think that's pretty standard. In addition to all of that, we lost power for just a few seconds the other day and I was in the middle of charging when this happened. When the power surge corrected, I was very pleased to notice that this model rebooted itself and began charging again without me having to do anything extra! Schumacher also has an app that you can download and use in conjunction with your charging station, which I found to be helpful & easy to set-up and use. All in all, the Schumacher SEV1600P1450 Level 2 EV Wall Charger is an excellent product. I'm actually going to have an electrician hardwire it for me to take advantage of the full power, but either way, this is an optimal performing wall charger with several additional benefits that other competing models don't have. If you're looking for a wall charger that performs well with perks and gives you options for easy installation, I highly recommend this one!

Great charger, but not the best with a Tesla.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Tesla model 3. The Schumacher charger did a fine job charging it, however it was slower than my previous 220V outlet. Not to a substantial level, but I would anticipate an expensive wall charger to be superior than the charging time of a 220V outlet. Personally, I would not say this is worth the price tag.

Smart AND pretty!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before this charger was installed I had been using the plug in charger that came with my EV. It was ok but nothing great and oh man was it slooowww. This Schumaker charger has changed the game in our garage! It is so much faster and has cut charging time by well over half. I also really like being able to use the app to see data and set up charging schedules- for example i set it not to charge until overnight to avoid more expensive peak electricity hours in the evening. I also think it's quite pretty. The housing itself is neutral and fairly slim and the LED lights are really pleasing. The cable is 25ft, so plenty for what most people should need and the plug docks on either side of the housing so no worries about that when considering the best spot to mount. I have been really happy with this charger and know that it has ultimately saved me money over using my old, slow, non remotely programmable charger.

Charges my EV quickly and with ease

NEMA 14-50 Plug has exceeded my expectations. This unit has a 25ft long cable, which is great because it means I don’t have to worry about having to get very close to the unit to use it. It charges my vehicle very quickly. I also love the sleek and modern looking design of this charger, it looks very stylish and classy in my garage. I would highly recommend trying this unit out if you have an electric vehicle.
