I like the door that allows you to put your wet/dry clothes on it. The dry selection is good also

I bought this dryer because my old dryer died and couldn't be fixed. I needed a dryer quickly and had virtually no time to shop and compare. Price was a major concern of mine. I bought it using technical comparisons and by reading reviews. I did not physically see the dryer.Traditional - means using old - not much digital technology. There isn't much current technology involved - mechanical switches. You can make your own judgement whether this is good or bad - but this does lower the overall cost.I personally don't care for the fold out door. It sets too low to be very useful. I prefer a swinging door. With it, I can hang shirts and slack on it and place other items on the washing machine.I have found that the auto sensing dry system doesn't work that well if you have a combination of heavy and light items in the dryer. The lighter items dry okay and leave any heaver items to be dried again. This is a nuisance.For the price, I wouldn't say that this is a bad dryer, but I would suggest moving up in price and getting a better, more modern dryer. If cost is a major concern to you - buy it. But, consider that dryers last a very long time. So, any extra money you spend on a better, more modern dryer is actually spread over many years.I recommend buying a better dryer - one from Whirlpool.

We've had the dryer for over a month and it works great. The capacity is just right for our household. The clothes come out perfect.

Sensor drying is a bad concept because it relies on garments touching one area in the dryer. It dries a polo shirt, for instance, but not its collar that might be made out of a heavier material. For some reason sheets get tangled up even if put into the dryer carefully and do not completely dry; they also come out extremely wrinkled.I had both a great Whirlpool washer and dryer previously for over 20 years but unfortunately had to leave them with the house I sold. The difference in quality between my old appliances and this new one is dramatic, especially regarding the timer knob which sometimes continues to run way after the end of cycle signal sounds.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
