Pretty good bike

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over all I'm satisfied with it's performance. Put a little over 30 miles on it so far. Only issues I've had so far was the tire tubes went flat right away. But not an issue since I had new tubes and tannus armor. I swapped em as they went flat and haven't had any more problems. I'm a big guy at 6 ft 6 in and 265 so the battery doesn't last as long as I would like and I've found a hill it won't climb so I'll have to change the chain ring to a lower tooth count for my elk hunts for better hill climbing. All in all it's a good bike and very well built.

Awesome E-Bike

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Rode a couple of trails and roads in the month I've had it and the IBEX has been great. It makes traveling more rewarding as I can get to any destination without pain in my shoulders or knee (I'm 33 years old but overdid it playing football). The bike is easy to control with or without assistance and it goes FAST on max assist. I had to get googles for my MTB helmet because of the wind.
I highly recommend the dropper post, It was an easy install and the bike has the frame passthrough for the cable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a hard time scoring this. 3stars? 4stars? how would i rate this product. the sales rep was a nice guy, hooked me up with a great deal, but was it enough? after getting the product and being forced to assemble it myself, because i was told to "use this checkout link" and wasnt advised to add the option to have it built, it made me think "for a bike that retails for 7k, why am i putting this together myself?". they send you a little pocket tool, which isnt enough to put it together so be sure to have your own tools. it comes bare bones at the price listed, and it doesnt even have the "premium" seat or any accessories at all. so what are we paying for? Aventon and other companies have bikes sitting at 2k that come with more. so why oh why is this one so expensive? i called into support twice, due to questions i had, and they always seem condescending, and or elitists. maybe i just expect more for my money, as you can get a real motorcycle, dirt bike, quad, and lot of other things for this price, so i was just expecting more. the battery life is not what is claimed on the site either, the only way you are getting anywhere near those numbers is if you leave it at #1 and dont take it off.
with that being said - the bike itself is fun. i am pretty new to the EB revolution, so maybe i am just confused as to what i have, but to me the fun does not outweigh the price, and the "return" policy is a joke. 10 miles? i rode 10+ miles on my first ride. how can you properly test a bike and only be able to ride it 10 miles? no scratches? impossible - taking it out of the box causes scratches, and putting on all of the parts yourself does also.
Maybe when i can put it to some real use out in the mountains i will think differently about it, but i dunno how anyone can justify the price difference between other fat tire offroad bikes, and this one.

Perfect bike for me!

Ive always ridden non e bikes and just did not like them and the big expense! My regular (anolog) bike is a Transition Sentinel and I got this IBEX because i did not like how regular class one e bikes make you have to pedal to activate the motor and this is annoying in tight technical rooty sections where you constantly catch your pedals. I got this bike and added the 29 er kit immediately and have been having a blast riding it! Im riding it with friends that are riding 8-10 thousand dollar Specialized e bikes and I can do everything they do in class 1 mode on the eco or trail mode and it will blow them away in Boost mode. If I switch to class 2, 3 or unlimited its not even close, this bike pulls away. The throttle is great, smooth and controlled power. I really like the brake interrupt feature and shift interrupt keeps you from grinding gears. The suspension is really good too and the brakes are phenomenal! The bike feels stable and well built! If anything it is overbuilt and not light but you dont feel it in motion just when you are moving or lifting the bike when not riding. This bike can do most anything except maybe super steep technical terrain where the weight can be a handful but I didnt get this bike for trails like that, Its awesome everywhere else! The best thing is the VPO where you can switch modes for bike paths, road rides, long steep fire road climbs or trips up and down my long driveway to the mailbox. Super versatile!
The bikes components are good and the 9 speed is good because of its strength and it is cheap to replace or upgrade. Battery life is really good! I hope this review is helpful! Grab one of these before they are gone!
