Amazingly accurate tracking performance 3,000 miles from my location.

My roommate put my 'Chipolo ONE Point' in his golf bag when traveling to New England. Among other locations the Chipolo tracked his movement thru an 18-hole golf course. It also triggered an alert notification on his friends' iPhones that the Chipolo ONE Point tracking device was nearby as a safety anti-stalking measure.
Good but needs improvement. It is multiple times that one chipolo pings and another one doesn't (when on the same location) which is not to do with Google's Find My Network. This means the device itself is not pinging properly. I would personally like it being more frequent with location pings even if that takes a toll on the battery life until at least the network is expanded more Worldwide!
Too early to tell for sure, but early performance has not been up to expectations. Google's Find My Device app just isn't locating these trackers as well or frequently as I expected. I would hold off on getting any more for a while to see if the network starts to perform better.
No problem locating the tag via Bluetooth, with graphical proximity indication and a loud beep. People have reported difficulties with remote location using Android Find My Device FMD. For me it worked if I set the location to "with network in all areas", so it was detected even by a single Android phone with FMD installed. Tested on my easyJet hold bag on a flight to the UK, and across London. Works much better than expected.
The network of devices supporting this standard is still very broad-meshed. In many cases I'm not able to do a localization - even in very crowded areas. But this may change soon.
