Very effective but needs improvement

I've used a number of different devices as seen on the picture. As a nurse and mother of 5, I can appreciate a good nasal suction device. The biggest flaw of the Electric NoseFrida is that the snot gets into the machine and causes a gurgling sound. It slowly comes out of the "vent" behind the machine but needs to be positioned and tapped out. I've tried positioning the openings on opposite sides but that didn't seem to help. My other devices prevented that problem from happening but they still didn't last very long and had less suction strength. I informed the company and they immediately sent me a replacement. The only difference seems to be a lighter suction pressure. I still had the same problem with the snot getting into the machine, which may shorten the life of the device over time, but I emptied the container more frequently (about 3 times) to try to prevent it from going in too far. My one year old wasn't happy about the extra time needed, as he was snugly swaddled like a burrito, but it kept him from grabbing everything and fighting me.
After checking the old device after a few weeks, it had a battery type of smell and leaked a brown fluid. Since I had a replacement already, I tried suctioning warm water through it and it seemed to help rinse it out. Then I let it run until it sounded clear and automatically turned off. I use a wipes container to collect and clean the parts. The holder under the snot container is not removable so I clean it with a small alcohol pad after removing the snot with a tissue. I still have my good ol' Snotsucker for backup.

Snot Gonna Need another Nose Sucker!

I bought this product about 6 months ago. It is such an awesome product. The highest suction is still gentle and I can usually get all the snot out of my fussy daughter’s nose in a go or two. Use thing thing after the kiddos bath or with the help of a little saline spray and they can breathe easy. I saw a lot of reviews about the snot getting underneath the removable part and into the chamber. This happened to me this week. I followed the troubleshooting instructions and put the tip in a cup of hot water and ran the device for a bit. No more gurgling sound!! Oh, please beware, water does shoot out the back during this process so point the little hole away from your face. To the makers of the product… you should really warn people about that. A+ for the product, F for the water in my face.

Great idea

At first I loved it. Very easy to use and my two boys loved that it cleared their nose. Though somehow the snot got past and into the motor now snot comes out the hole, the suction doesn't work and it makes a loud gurgling sound. Very gross. Hopefully you guys update the product to avoid this in the future.

My son usually hates when I use the Nose Frida but this, he tolerates. It does not work as well as the original but it works good enough especially when he is already sick and cranky, it doesn’t upset him as much as the OG nose frida

Not the best

After awhile the liquidity mucus gets into the motor and it eventually stops working. My device only lasted for 3 months then died. I’m now looking for something different for my baby.

Disappointed!! I have gone through 2 of these. They work for a few months and eventually break. No more suction just a ringing noise.

I would give this 0 stars if I could. The mucus ends up going into the mechanical part of the machine & then drips out the whole in the back right into baby’s mouth - YUCK. I imagine I have received a defective product. As a side note I don’t believe the suction is that great. Would absolutely not recommend or purchase again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been an avid nose frida user since the birth of my now 3yr old daughter and still find myself using it on her as well my 9 month old. I recently got sick though and the last thing I needed was to blow my germs into my baby’s nose. I needed an electric aspirator though because the manual ones were absolutely useless.
The electric component was AMAZING! The suction was adjustable and was at a perfect pressure. It does need to be charged though so unfortunately I needed to wait a few hours to be able to use it. But once the charge set in, it was amazing. I haven’t had the need to recharge it just yet but I do know that my baby didn’t mind the suction one bit. Yes she fussed but she does the same when I’m placing the manual nose Frida as well. So nothing out of the ordinary or unexpected.
I highly recommend this if the nose frida suction grosses you out or if you’re sick and need a contact less method of extracting those pesky boogers!
