[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a vacuum, it's great! Really picks up dirt and crumbs from the dog bones. As a rug cleaner, it's great! I gave only 3 because I don't feel like there is any difference between the "Area Rug" and "Hard floor" settings. The base does not lower down for a more close clean to the hardwood floors, so the floor gets a slight wetness to it but the base isn't close enough to the floor to truly clean the hardwood or linoleum floors.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
