Definitely not as good as our previous dishwasher, has a terrible smell from the plastic tub and doesn't clean well

Got this dishwasher as part of a package of appliances. From the day it was installed it has had a terrible plastic/rubber smell. Everything that came out of the dishwasher has this smell. After 6 months, the smell is still there. It's slightly less than when we got it but whatever they are using for the interior tub smells terrible. Like a cross between burning rubber and new car tires.
The next issue is that somehow anything glass comes out worse than when it went in. We pre rinse everything and somehow the glasses or glass bowls looks worse when they come out. I've added a rinse agent and tried a few different detergents. I'm now rinsing off any glass items when they come out which kind of defeats the purpose of the dishwasher.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s been working well. I’m not sure if it has a stand alone drying option because that would make it over the top. I only wanted a dry option but had to wash everything inside to go through a cycle.
