Galiano Get the Job Done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this model last year and have a good idea of its performance. If you are looking for a low-profile and handsome slide-in oven/cook top, but with no bells and whistles, you would be wise to consider the Forno Galiano. There are several positive details about this model: it is a very good-looking heavy-duty appliance with a moderately tough stainless steel cladding. The glass cook top is tough, the five variable-wattage elements heat up quickly, and if you order the 36" model, you will have plenty of space for your cookware. If you are a baker, you will love how evenly your baked goods will cook. As far as details which need improvement: This oven seems to struggle with frozen foods, there is no preheat indicator, so you will need an oven thermostat to know when it reaches the proper temperature, the knobs are located on the front and partially hidden under an overhanging ledge which makes it very difficult to see which knob operates which burner element, the stainless steel does scratch (especially the part surrounding the glass top), the knob decals are hard to read since they are positioned at the bottom right of the knob and you are looking down from above (an etching of the burner location on the knob itself would be great), and there is no warming drawer at the bottom of this model. Overall, we like this oven for normal daily use, but if you cook a lot and need more features, you will have to consider other Forno models.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am very happy with this range. It looks beautiful in my kitchen and feels very solid and well built. The burners heat up quickly and provide consistent cooking performance, while the oven bakes evenly. The controls are simple to use, and the stainless steel finish is easy to clean. Overall, this is an excellent product that offers great value for the price. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality electric range.

I just bought the stove and have not used it enough to rate. I do not like the knobs on the front. I do not like how the stove sticks out from the wall. I would not buy this again. Is this enough words to complete my registration???

one year later the hot surface light stays on

We purchased our range a year ago and within the last couple weeks our careful surfaces are hot light won't shut off. It's been 24 hours now since it was used and the light is still on.
