[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous X1 was a 5th gen thats still usable after 7 years, so that gives you an idea of how sturdy and reliable these devices are. Perfect size & weight, great performance, Lenovo Vantage app is actually useful (as opposed to bloatware). Recommended.

Light weight, and works well. Front camera could be better. Also having issues with microphone. People on the video call are not always hearing me well. May be this could be an issue with my headphones, but same headphones has worked well with another PC.
Also Wi-Fi signal shows very low strength even though all of my other devices show full signal strength. Not sure what is going on with it. But speed checks show proper result.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with this machine. We're replacing a long inbtgebtooh Thinkpad T410 that's still in service and running strong. The Thinkpad brand is so robust that, as we move on to Windows 11, we want the same hardy, reliable brand.
This device has been a remarkable, although not surprisingly so, upgrade that we're sure will last as long as it's older sister.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I been using Thinkpad X-1 laptops for many years. This X-1 Gen 11 is configured with a extremely fast processor and 32 GB of Ram. I would have configured it with 64 GB of Ram, but wanted the U chip, as it runs cooler the P chip- although this version has two fans - so it might not have been an issue. The 1 TB of hard drive works well and allows transfers to remote drives (assuming they are configured with Thunderbolt or USB C cables) very fast. Just backed up my desktop (228GB) at a little more than 17 minutes, as the speed varies depending on the files configuration. I also configured this with a touch screen for when I travel and do not bring a mouse- and use a separate monitor when in the office. Will probably get the Gen 12 with the AI chip at some point, but this laptop is a big improvement from the Gen 8 that I am using as a backup machine - as they really are good performers for many years.

I compared to other brands and chose Lenovo because they offered the best deal for an X1 caliber machine. It arrived sooner than expected and I was more than pleased with the performance benchmarks I ran it through. Much lighter and faster than my 4 year P1.
