This Samsonite backpack is really useful. it has 5 different zip sections, each a different size and specification. One is for laptop, one for stationary and computer cables and my favorite is the middle curved zip that looked like a sunglass holder but is deeper so I have decided to keep snacks in it. The bag was under my seat the other day and I was able to reach down and easily find it, open it and get the specific snack I wanted. The specific problem it has is that the 'loop' for sliding over your carry-on handle is so tight it is a struggle to put it over the handle every time. I am not sure what the logic was that made it so tight and almost unusable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very nice well built bag, sturdy, with lots of room and compartments conveniently placed. However, for me, I wanted a smaller bag I could put under the seat in front of me on the airline and still have room to stretch out my feet. Hard decision to return but my feet told me to keep looking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My whole family loves the Samsonite Tectonic NuTech 17" Backpack. At 17” it really is a versatile size, being easily carried by everyone from my 5 year old, to my 10 year old, to the adults. It’s also comfortable with padding in the shoulder straps as well as in panels on the back. This backpack is loaded with additional features, such as a separated area to hold a laptop, and plenty of pockets for organizing the essentials. To top it off, it is a smart, good looking bag. I definitely recommend this backpack from Samsonite!

I purchased this after seams in my old one started coming apart after very heavy use. This version is smaller and has inferior laptop protection from the old one (which very securely retained your laptop, no matter the size). This one has a simple pocket for your laptop, and your laptop pushes right up against the zippers, so you need to be very careful with keeping the backpack upright. Also, the main compartment of this one is thinner than the last iteration of this model backpack, and the pockets are not so well designed. It's very sad when you love a backpack and there seems to be nothing on the market to replace it when the time comes.
