So far, a terrible design and poor quality build.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's 32 DAYS after installation and every light on my new dishwasher is blinking. Repair person indicates that the control panel needs to be replaced.
Configuration of this dishwasher doesn't make sense. I bought it because upper area can be lowered to fit larger mugs. But if you lower it, the wash arm is impeded by knives in the silverware rack. I had to remove the smaller silverware tray at the very top to enable fitting mugs and not having the wash arm impeded. Bad design that you can't use the options simultaneously.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are glad to hear you've reached out to Bodewell Service by calling 1-833-426-3393 M-F 8:00-8:00 to get this resolved. If you haven't already, we do recommend resetting the electronics by flipping the breaker off for a couple minutes. We would also like to assist you with loading your knives and silverware so that you can utilize the amazing 3rd rack on this model. Please reinstall the 3rd rack and place your longer knives on it to get the best cleaning results and to utilize all the great features on your dishwasher.

Too long cycles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cycles take too long. I installed the app as I was told I would have more cycle choices but they still take an hour. Wish there was a cycle for "quick wash".
Response from geappliances.comBy Sarah, GE_Appliances, November 13, 2025
We’d like to provide information about your dishwasher’s cycle times. The specific cycle time can vary depending on multiple factors, including the chosen cycle, soil level, etc. Cycles like AutoSense and HeavyWash may run longer, and selecting an option like DryBoost may add time as well. Your dishwasher does feature a 1 Hour Wash if you prefer to utilize a shorter cycle.
It is normal for modern dishwashers to run longer, but use less energy and increased efficiency in the process. We have more information about the dishwasher’s run time linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18914

This is the least effective dishwasher that we have owned in 35 years. You can run the same dishes 3 cycles and still have to hand wash them to get them clean

We'd like to help you with the cleanability and understanding how the controls work on your dishwasher. We recommend making sure your water temperature is at least 120 degrees coming into the dishwasher. Great new quiet dishwasher
on November 17, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Much quieter than our old Maytag. A bit disappointed with the bottom rack height for my larger plates and pots, the blade hits them. I would do away with the short depth top rack and raise the 2nd rack so the bottom has more height. Yes I know my 2nd rack does move up and down.

We are glad to hear you like your new dishwasher and are happy with how quiet it is in your home. Your feedback is important to us, and we will pass your comments about the bottom rack height to our product team for review.

DW cleaning

This dishwasher is quiet and has adequate capacity. However, it does not thoroughly clean. I pre-rinse dishes, use top dishwasher soap but dishes often come out with residue. Very disappointed in this appliance
Response from geappliances.comBy Vikki, GE_Appliances, November 20, 2025
Hot water is essential for proper wash and dry performance. The water coming into the dishwasher needs to be a minimum of 120°F and no greater than 150°F. To check the water temperature, run the hot water at the kitchen sink and measure the temperature of the running water with a candy or meat thermometer. If the incoming water temperature is less than 120°F, adjust the temperature of your water heater accordingly.
We recommend using the Wash Heat Boost option on every cycle. This will further heat the water in the dishwasher which will not only improve the wash performance but the dry performance as well. It will aid in the evaporation of the water from the dishes when the cycle is complete.
Also, follow the directions on Page 20 of the Owner's Manual to clean the filter(s) on this model. - https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--R_Zxo9E2--/2ed0b5be08e6400b0950751e1bb63098fe2929d6.pdf - Trapped food debris could be redepositing on your dishes.
