It's a little iffy on whether this will last...

Great price - but it has seemed a little glitchy since day 1. Like the screen 'flashes' occasionally. I had to install updates four times. I don't know - it doesn't give me the warm and fuzzies that this laptop will last. But maybe you get what you pay for.

On the contrary, lots of satisfied customers, having positive experience using the product will agree that it is a decent entry level laptop that runs basic and light computing applications, without compromising system stability and performance as long as Windows, drivers and applications are up to date. During the initial Windows setup and Windows update installations, the screen will tyically flashes occasionally. Once updates completed, system performance will improve. Addtionally, while accessing web applications, please ensure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since poor and unstable internet connection will affect system stability and performance. You can also run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "MyASUS" utility software or application. Junk PC from company

Worst computer ever followed by company stealing from me. Got the laptop and it took 3 hours to boot up and install updates. When done it would take several minutes just to load a web page. Not the internet connection as other devices in the house worked fine. Sent it back right away for a refund and after 6 weeks no me it and nothing but email after email from ASUS saying I will hear back in 48 hours while they research it.

This product was designed as an entry-level laptop that runs basic and light computing applications like web-surfing, emailing and word-processing without compromising system stability and performance.


Since it is an entry-level laptop, you will experience slow speed during the initial WINDOWS setup and while installing all cumulative and featured WINDOWS Update. This may take a longer time depending on the network traffic from the updated server and the stability of your high-speed internet service. Also, the laptop will do several system reboots, black screen temporarily or restart during the update process. Once the initial setup and WINDOWS Update installation are completed, system speed or performance will be optimized. Keeping the laptop updated will maintain optimum system stability and performance. Additionally, while accessing web applications, please ensure the unit has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will definitely affect system speed and performance. Also, clearing internet cache or browsing history will improve system performance. If these steps were performed to no avail, please try to run a diagnostics or optimization test using the "My ASUS" utility software or application.
