[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The laptop is generally great, and is excellent for all purpose use. I strongly recommend upgrading the ram to 16GB for any gaming, and expanding to 2tb of internal storage (each nvme drive supports 1tb ssd max). The GPU can handle everything wonderfully, but while under heavy GPU usage, battery life is reduced close to 30-45 minutes. While browsing the web or watching videos, I've found I can get anywhere from 2-3 hours, meaning it's best to keep the 140 watt charger near you at all times. It does fully charge very quickly though, and the only complaint I have is the battery size itself. 60WH is not enough for a gaming laptop, and there is no way to upgrade.

These are marketed for gaming but work super well in the office, I did upgrade the RAM myself which was very easy to do (10 min each device) and have had 0 issues otherwise.
I can happily say this laptop has amazing value per dollar at the price I bought it on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this laptop due to needing something for the days that I’m on University grounds for my training through my work. I looked around and couldn’t find anything that fit all my standards; however, this came very, very close and was just outside of the budget that I had in mind.
For the price I’ve been impressed so far. It’s considerably faster than I had anticipated and considerably smoother. I have laptops with more Memory (although its DD4 not the LPDDR 5 this has), and SSDs, and they are noticeably slower than this computer. With a few updates (going to 32 GB of ram, and more storage) its going to be a laptop that I’m going to be more than happy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty good for a gaming laptop. We all know most people who are getting these, they’re going to be stationary on a desk while plugged in for 90% of its life. Not so with me, got a very simple case and it is lighter than the laptop I had previously. Never game on battery it will wear out and for performance on games will suffer for it.
You definitely want to upgrade to 16 or 20+ gb of RAM right away, and upgrade the storage. Both of which are very easy, even an unlearned novice could do it with guidance from a video, took me about 30 minutes to do and the hardest prt is undoing the screws. I gave mine 16gb ram and an extra tb of storage-again very easy. A must-have for this laptop.
Fans are a bit loud, but I’m glad Lenovo seems to have put thought into at least having multiple fans and proper cooling.
For gaming-it runs red dead redemption 2 on High preset at a solid 60-70fps. It runs cyberpunk 2077 on high (rtx off) at about 80-90fps. Those are the two most demanding games I play on it. The laptop gets pretty hot & loud after about an hour of gameplay on these.
I think the screen is fine, it doesnt get very bright but I personally prefer that. And obviously if you are using the built in speakers it isnt going to be very good lol I just use a headset.
These feel like nitpicks to me. I have a large wooden kind of platform I set it on so it has space underneath to ‘breathe’ so the heat doesn’t bother me, and since I wear a headset the fan noise doesn’t bother. The lit keyboard is not RGB but plain white but that is good for me I just need it to be lit so I can see.
With the right upgrades that are criminally easy to install yourself this machine is very good for the price for mid range (as of 2024) gaming. If you want super good maxed rtx 420 fps 4k gaming obv this isn’t it.
I was on a tight budget and this was perfect for me after reviewing many options in this price range but with much worse specs. There are different models of the LOQ so make sure you get the graphics card that has 6gb vram, I will say 4gb vram is definitely not enough and you cannot upgrade that.
And again don’t be scared of upgrading the ram and storage, there are all kinds of videos and once you do it you will be grateful for as long as you use it. It supports 32 gb ram so go nuts. Get the ddr5 5600mhz sodimm.
