Good watch but maybe not worth the price

Build wise it's a 5. But it's heavy. Almost too heavy to be a good fitness watch.
The OS is a little funky when trying to play music during a workout. It keeps disconnecting from my phone even with the phone close by and I lose control of the music. I'm probably going to return it and get the T Rex 2 instead.

I am still finding out all the features of this device. What I have found so far has been awesome, I wish there was a manual I could get with all the functionality of the device in easy to understand english so I could play with it more.

Takes a tech

Not too great so far. The date is correct, but the day is wrong - and it’s going backwards! Yesterday it said it was Wednesday, today it’s says Tuesday?! Also, the temperature is showing as Celsius, not Fahrenheit.
I’ve scrolled thru screens on both my watch and phone and found nowhere to correct these 🤷�♀️
It’s definitely not a plug-and-play.

Heart Very inaccurate During Low to moderate exercisr

First, i am a research exercise scientist with a Ph.D. I also validated the first Polar heart rate chest strap back in the early 80s against EKG DATA. I have a max heart rate of 149-150 as a 69 yr old master cyclist. The fit5 does a good job on resting heart rates against my research labs ANT+/bluetooth chestbands that are +/- 1.5% with my Ekg. On three outdoor rides, initial HRS are lower by 5-15 bpm. Then they can be on target after 15 mins. HOWEVER, on two rides i had HRS ABOVE my maximum by 30-35 bpm! As a result, anaerobic vs aerobic rates are totally void and inaccurate. I have used Garmin bike computers and watches for years. The watches and computers can accept chest straps. I suggest you add that option.

Feature packed and seems very accurate

I have recently tried a couple of cheaper smartwatches and found them to be great for telling time but nothing more. After painstakingly researching my options I decided to buy the Amazfit Bip 5 and I couldn't be happier. The Bip 5 is capable of doing much more than I will ever do. It is very comfortable and easy to use. I like that I can easily change the watch face to one of my photos. The step counter seems very accurate. I also like how the Bip 5 auto detects a workout. The curved watch body makes it comfortable to wear all day. I have a medium sized wrist and the watchband fits perfectly. If you have a very big wrist you will likely need to get a bigger band. I get five days on a full battery charge. The charger connector to the Bip 5 is super easy to use. I'm so impressed by the Amazfit Bip 5! I plan to buy one for my wife soon.

Good value all-round fitness tracker, but not dependable for running

The Bip 5 looks great, was super comfortable and great value. The notifications work well and the color display is bright and clear. The HR sensor seemed accurate and was very consistent. Similar to other amazfit products, it integrates well with the Zepp app. Unfortunately for me, the GPS could not cope with trees and buildings. Also, 3/4 of a way through a long run, the running tracker stopped recording.
