Good looks, instructions could be better

We had difficulty putting it together. After getting it wrong, we decided to put the metal frame together first, then added the bottom shelf and the top. Measure to make sure you have the pieces in the right orientation, long side to long side - the metal rectangle looks square but is not. Make sure 4 & 5 are in the right position as in the diagram, with the small metal brackets facing in toward the center. The screw holes connecting 4 and 5 together under the bottom shelf weren't lined up precisely, so we skipped that screw. After 4 & 5 were attached to 2 correctly, we then attached the bottom shelf 3. Again, make sure the long side of 2 is lined up with the long side of 3.
