[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have several 80/82V Greenworks tools including the zero turn mower, blower, chainsaw, and now the self-propelled mower. My wife loves the zero turn mower (I rarely get to use it.) and the other tools have been easy to use and dependable. The 25 in mower has helped make mowing our our sloped yard much easier. The twin blades seem to chop up the grass finer for better mulching. And of course not having to deal with gasoline and oil is a plus.

Great mower with some limitations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 3 months ago, here is my observations; the mower itself is strong, not gas strong but does the trick, there is some learning curve and some lag between pressing the forward handle and the response of the mower but nothing major. I got this for my brother who is not into maintenance. so this is perfect. no oil or filters to change. charge and play.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this mower. Together our two 80V batteries allow for 30-40 minutes of mowing time before recharging. The mower cuts grass quickly and evenly. Our only complaints are the plastic levers on the handles seem a bit flimsy and the protective flap on the back sometimes makes it hard to pull the mower backwards. The wheels can lock up, but pushing forward and then pulling back again usually clears it up.
Pros: Convenient, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very pleased with the 25 in self propelled mower. Only gave it 4 stars due to not mulching heavy, thick grass. It does function very well and the batteries last the whole job.

Lowered expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It mows dry grass well if the blades are sharp. It doesn’t mulch well. It tends to leave clumps if the grass is moist at all. Overall, disappointed with this purchase.

Hello Meh2024. Lawn mowers mulch grass by lifting the grass clippings into the deck and cutting them into fine pieces before they drop back into the ground, because they need to be cut many more times than they do for bagging and side discharge, airflow is critical to the process. In general, try to mulch when you are taking off no more than 2 inches of grass for the best results. That lets the blade speed stay up on just about battery-powered mower and get those fine pieces that send nutrients back into your lawn. You will typically get much better mulching results if you can cut when your grass is dry. That leaves the clippings lighter, so they stay up in the deck longer and do not stick to the sides. Mulching grass when it is wet means the blade can’t cut the clippings as small before they drop out. And the wetter the grass, the more challenging it becomes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this mower, as well as the weed eater, leaf blower, and drill and driver set I bought all at the same time. Plenty of battery life to get my half acre looking great, and plenty of power as well. Would buy these again in a heartbeat.

Poor cutting quality.

I want to love this mower but the cut quality is poor, even at the highest setting, flat ground,etc.. I took it to an authorized service center and they agreed that the cut quality was poor but the blades were balanced, sharp, etc so there was nothing technically wrong. Not sure what to do as I am not sure it is just my mower or if it is all mowers of this type.
Pros: Easy to Use

Hello ppinrich.
Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear of this experience. When the lawn is being cut uneven, this can indicate a few different things. The first being that the lawn itself is rough or uneven. However, if this is not the case then it is possible that the grass is too tall, or the cutting height is set too low for the type of grass. Try raising the cutting height and reduce walking speed to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. We hope these suggestion provide a more enjoyable user experience.
