[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a replacement mower. I have seen this unit on my street, and reviewed its features. It’s impressive. Has either steel or poly surface, stores upright, silent mowing, two huge batteries. Fan driven charger, and charges within 20 min per battery. Great. Both slot into the mower at one time. Best of all, a 4 year warranty. It’s a well made and designed tool. Great design and strong.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this mower just three weeks ago. Have used it twice now and it has performed well. Mowed through tall grass in my backyard with no problems.

Batteries fail quickly and easily, cost a fortune

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mower runs the batteries down "too far" for their motherboard to recharge them. The expensive batteries can easily get depleted and then will no longer charge, they will flash the "heat" warning, even though they are not warm at all.
I also wish it had Lock pins for the handle to stay folded (the Kobalt version of this mower DOES have that), and I wish the handle had a large lock-plate for taller people to get a taller angle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello JeffyMac. Thank you for sharing your detailed experience, these points are helpful for anyone considering this lawn mower. To extend runtime, consider. Using self-propelled features when needed. Self-propelled mowers do use more battery than standard push mowers. Avoid letting the battery fully discharge; recharge once the mower slows noticeably. Store batteries in a cool, dry place when not in use and remove once charging is complete. Following the charging instructions carefully to prevent triggering safety lockouts. As for handle design, this mower does not include the folding lock pins or extended lock-plate that some Kobalt models offer. The handle height is designed to provide optimal usability for users of varying statures. If you are facing any difficulties adjusting the handles’ height, we encourage you to review the attached video. It may offer a solution to your problem. Please be advised that your unit may look slightly different, however, these instructions still apply. (https://youtu.be/mAl2KzLYNCc?t=169). Taller users or those who prefer more handle customization may want to test handle comfort in-store. Overall, these insights highlight important considerations, battery care and ergonomic preferences, when choosing a self-propelled battery mower. We hope you will find this information useful. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only one pass so far, this thing is a serious beast. Add the lack of maintenance that a very underpowered gas mower has, easy win!
