[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a first time home buyer and I went back and forth on whether I should get a gas mower or not. And I just didn't want to have to deal with gas and all the maintenance. I wanted mowing the lawn to be as fun as possible, and as eco-friendly as possible. I decided to get the more powerful mower. I have a 1/2 acre. This did the whole lawn like a champ. And I loved the speed on it. Went so quick. And it's not your typical annoying sound of a gas mower either. I've only gotten to use this 2 times so far, because I got hit by a tornado. My house is fine, but I have trees everywhere on my lawn, and I now need to shift into tree / brush cutting. I did just purchased a greenworks chainsaw to do the work. But I'll admit I'm a little intimated by it. But I think also going to be fun to use. 30 days into homeownership has been eventful, and I like that I can rely on greenworks products.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear of the issue you are experiencing with the lawn mower. To start we would advise that you activate the motor for the blade before you activate the self-propelled feature. There are two lever options. To activate the blade: hold onto the safety start button and pull up the lever located in front of the handle, if the unit propels forward, you have pulled the wrong lever, release the self-propelled lever, continue to hold onto the safety start up button and pull the other lever. You should now hear the blades and you can release the safety button and continue to hold onto the bail lever for the duration of use or when you decide to stop. Please remember to always activate the unit this way for each start. Once the motor powers on for the blade you can then grasp the lever for the self-propel option. Please refer to your manual. We suggest trying to this a few times to get used to the run of your unit prior to use. It will become easier to manage once the mechanics are worked out. We hope this will help.

It makes my life so much easier

I recently had 2 stents in my heart and I needed a mower that was easier on my body and this was it. It used to take me 2 and 1/2 hours to cut my lawn over 2 days. Now it takes less than an hour all at once and I’m not breathless when I’m done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used a gas mower my whole life and I decided to make a switch and try out and all electric and I am more satisfied with this mower than any other gas mower I’ve used! It has the power of a gas mower while being quiet and easy to use! My dog is afraid of lawn mowers so being able to cut the grass without him freaking out is a very large plus for me!
