I thought it would use the same 80V battery as the chainsaw, edger, blower, weed eater and more but the battery for those items does not fit in this mower. I'm still having difficulty contacting support to deal with this and another issue with a bolt missing from the handle.

Hello John,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. - We are sorry to hear about this issue. My husband & I are both retired but still mow our own yard, etc. We had previously bought a Green Works leaf blower, then a Green Works snowblower & liked both. Our old lawnmower was dying so we got a Green Works self-propelled mower. We LOVE IT! It is so easy to use, no gas/oil, etc. lightweight & easy to maneuver and does a great job of cutting the grass. Doing the lawn seems so much easier now!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Everything about the mower, from the handle to the bag, to the wheels, is flimsy. It's a battery drain, and doesn't cut very well.

Hello anonymous Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with your lawnmower purchase. The run-time of a battery would depend on the load acting on the unit while in use (speed, terrain, unit height, grass height, and density). Please be aware that the more power being used from the lawn mower (i.e. lawn mower speed, terrain, grass height, density, etc.), the faster the battery charge will drain. Here are a few other tips to help get the most out of the battery run time and achieve a cleaner cut: 1) Set the mower to the highest cutting height (or 1/3 of the length of grass), mow no more than 1/3 of the total length at a time. 2) Mow in the morning or late afternoon to reduce the heat stress on newly cut grass and ensure that grass is dry. 3) Alternate mowing patterns each time you mow. As grass develops a grain based on your cutting direction it will lean towards the direction of your mowing path. Changing the pattern allows better vertical growth and helps to keep the cut neater. For best results keep the grass under 4" in length and walk at a slow but steady pace to allow the blades to cut efficiently. We hope these tips will help you with the issues you have encountered. However, if they do not, kindly contact Greenworks at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS) or by email on info@greenworkstools.com so that we can discuss these matters with you further. Please know that this lawnmower carries a 4-year warranty from the date of purchase and a 2-year warranty on the battery.

Does an ok job on medium to thin grss but if your law is thinck like mine you HAVE to walk slow otherwize it bogs down plus you wil have to stop to clean it out. I have medium size yard and now that it is thick, I have to stop t 3 to 4 tie sto clean out the mower. Very concerned that soon I will see smoke comming from the motor. An expensive mistake.
Pros: Quiet

Hello JoeAR,.
We're sorry to hear that you are not fully satisfied with this lawn mower. It is important to recognize that the run time depends on the load acting against the unit and fluctuates depending on the height setting, the terrain, grass height, type of grass, whether you are mulching, operator technique, etc. - there are so many factors to consider. The harder the unit must work, the quicker the battery charge will drain. Similar to how the gas in a vehicle will deplete quicker when driving at higher speeds or carrying more weight.
Here are a few tips to extend your run time!
1) When cutting thick grass, reduce walking speed in order to allow for a more effective cut and a proper discharge of the clippings. 2) Only mow 1/3 of the total grass length at a time - no more. For a healthy lawn, always cut off one-third or less of the total length of the grass. The average lawn should be approximately 1 1/2 to 2” (3.8 to 5 cm) long during cool months, and between 2" to 3 1/4" (5 cm to 8.3 cm) long during hot months. 3) Mow when the grass is dry. As this is an electric unit, mowing wet/damp grass is a safety issue. However, ensuring the grass is dry will also help the grass cut cleanly and discharge appropriately. Wet/damp grass carries more weight and will mostly stick to the blade/motor shaft and will not appropriately discharge or cut easily. 4) Make sure the battery is cool before use. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. 5) Only use the self-propelled feature when needed. Self-propelled mowers do use more battery than standard push mowers as more power is being demanded from the battery to run the blades and the wheels.
We hope these tips will help! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased the Gardenworks Pro Lawn Mower, and I couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience—from setup to performance. This mower is a game changer for anyone looking to achieve a pristine lawn with minimal hassle.
Setup: Setting up the Gardenworks Pro was a breeze. The instructions were clear, and all the components fit together easily. Within 15 minutes, I had it assembled and ready to go. No complicated steps or need for special tools—just straightforward assembly. It even comes with all the necessary oil and fuel, so you’re good to go right away. I appreciate how user-friendly it is.
Performance: When it comes to mowing, this mower really delivers. The power is consistent, and it glides effortlessly over both flat and uneven terrain. I was able to cut through thick grass with ease, and the blades provided a clean, even finish every time. The adjustable cutting height is a great feature, allowing me to easily customize the mower’s settings to my preferred lawn length.
Comfort: The ergonomic handle and cushioned grips make using this mower a comfortable experience, even for longer mowing sessions. It’s designed with the user in mind, and I didn’t feel strained or fatigued. The self-propelled feature works like a charm, especially on inclines, which helps reduce the effort required on my part.
Durability: I can tell that the Gardenworks Pro Lawn Mower is built to last. The sturdy construction and high-quality materials ensure that this mower can withstand the wear and tear of regular use. The deck is made from durable steel, and the wheels are robust, providing stability and smooth movement.
Ease of Use: Another standout feature is how easy it is to maneuver. It’s lightweight yet sturdy, making it simple to navigate around obstacles like trees and garden beds. The grass collection bag is large, so I don’t have to empty it frequently, which saves time. Plus, the mower’s quiet operation is a bonus, making it less disruptive when I’m mowing early in the morning or late in the evening.
Overall: In summary, the Gardenworks Pro Lawn Mower has exceeded my expectations. Its combination of easy setup, powerful performance, and user-friendly design make it an excellent choice for anyone in need of a reliable lawn mower. Whether you have a small yard or a larger one, this mower will make your lawn care routine a breeze. Highly recommend!

Gets the job done. The white grass catcher may not have been the best color idea considering it’s going over the lawn frequently. I’ll need to replace soon because it’s dirty—more brown than white.

While having the power, the "engineering team" has NO concept of a true "high lift" blade. Thusly making the machine a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Response from greenworkstools.comBy Greenworks, September 18, 2024
Hello Disenchanted. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us. Stock mower blades perform well on dry, shorter grasses, and are optimized for efficiency, while high lift blades work better in extreme conditions but have a small effect on the runtime. The high-lift blade has deeper curves on the ends, which increase suction to circulate and expel the clippings. The higher airflow also helps prevent clogging. When to use high lift lawn mower blades: • When you are cutting tall grass (Grass over 3" tall) • When you are cutting flimsy grass such as turf-type tall fescue When not to use high lift lawn mower blades: • In sandy soil conditions It sounds like you will need to contact us directly some further information would be required to be better assist. Please start a Live chat on www.greenworkstools.com or call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). We look forward to helping you better.
