Followup: Excellent cleaning /POOR DRYING

Thank you for referring me to the "Poor Drying" info. I also read the Owner's Manual. In my original review I stated: "Air drying of top rack glasses, cups & mugs impossible. Significant puddles remain on top of these items. The top rack does not pitch these items so that most of the trapped water can run off."
The Owner's Manual shows a photo of model 535's top rack with glasses and cups properly pitched to maximize draining of trapped water. It is also obvious that the rack depicted is different than the rack provided in my model 535. I have included photos which show the difference. Please advise how I can obtain a replacement rack of the correct design.

entry level in new home

GE has a great deal with home builders i’m certain. home builders probably get some fees for passing on the manufacturer to your new home and you wind up paying 1200 for a washer than is worth 300, think about that. the his washer is loud inefficient and you have no place to put your dishes pots and pans. it’s ridiculous in space wifi own y. it uses a lot of water and at least so far the dishes come out ok.

Door problem

One year into using this and the spring that prevents the door to slam down broke. One year!!

Worse Dishwasher Ever

Worse dishwasher I've ever owned. Does not clean the dishes; is extremely loud, and the controls froze after two uses and we are unable to use it. Getting rid of it!!

Hi,

Thanks for telling us about your dishwasher. Having your unit operate louder than expected can be disruptive and we're sorry you went through this.

If you're unable to use the controls, they may be locked. To LOCK/UNLOCK the dishwasher control, press and hold the Cycle pad, or the Dry/Dry Boost and Steam pads simultaneously for 3 seconds. The Lock Controls light will turn on to indicate the control is locked and will turn off to indicate the control is unlocked. You can find more information on page 6 of your unit's Use and Care manual. Here's a link:

Poor quality

I've used the dishwasher once and then it stopped working. Had a repair person come out because the locking mechanism wouldn't allow the door to close. That got fixed on site. But now the control panel doesn't work. The dishwasher wouldn't turn on and the repair person left and said they would be back since it is under warranty. I have not heard back. I had always liked GE products, but the quality is just not what it used to be. I feel like I wasted my money on this dishwasher.

Lock stop working

I waited a year over to see how things are working in our newly built house, so far everything seems to work except for the dishwasher. I dont use them much only when its a little bit full but not that full since its just me and my husaband. So, for 13 months of using it -suddenly it wont lock, then all functions are not working anymore. Still waiting for the customer care to take care of this problem
