It does ok, nothing special about this dishwasher. It wasn't installed correctly in our home, not sure if it is particularly difficult to install? Doesn't seem to dry dishes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We strive to make the installation process as convenient and easy as possible, but as you’re concerned this wasn’t done correctly you may want to reference the Installation Instructions for the model, available here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-4000220-4.pdf . Regarding the drying issue, you may want to check that the water temperature is at least 120 degrees F. If you are using the Light/Time Saver cycle, you may want to switch to a longer cycle with a more thorough drying performance; using a Rinse Aid might also help. It washes dishes really well and actually dries them! I’ve had other dishwashers and they haven’t worked nearly as well as this one overall

Great Cleaner and Options!

Recently purchased a Top Control Plastic Interior Dishwasher, model GDT535PSR0SS, and couldn't be happier with the options. Easy to operate with many options- particularly find the silverware sorter and wine glass holder provides options ai didn't realize I was missing. Not only more easier to load, but the sound of the washing cycle is very quite!
