I know that these laptops are great because I have used one (Gen 6) daily for 5 years on my work (working that machine sometimes 12-14 hours per day). I will say, do opt for a solid processer, you will not regret it.

It's super light, the battery life is good but doesn't live up to the expectation I had based on the online info but it charges very quickly so that makes up for it. My pet peeve is that the fingerprint sensor was not easy to find the first time I used it. I wish it came with a full instruction manual with clear instructions in different languages.

Well, the Gen 11 keeps that tradition and is lighter and brighter to boot. As has been the case for my last 20 years of Thinkpads, I installed the latest Debian based distro and it's been running flawlessly.
