[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The one that was had to be returned as windows would get stuck and could not open or close them. Did order another Lenovo which appears to be working well. The biggest problem occurring today is the constant change in software. It needs to stop. You are driving everyone crazy. How about two versions. One simple and one advanced for more complicated but necessary calculations in excel.

I got this during black Friday for $999 which makes it a perfect value for money. It is capable to run high end applications and can take lot of beating. The battery life is what I'm yet to see, but so far no complaints. I definitely recommend this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall very happy with the ThinkPad. Build quality is solid, the matte finish is fantastic at reducing glare, love the keyboard, and it generally runs like a dream. I have some small criticisms. 1. I wish the screen got brighter than 300 nits... it's not always enough in a very bright environment. 2. It requires a lot of force to unplug connections from the laptop's ports. It's both annoying and creates the risk of your laptop crashing to the floor. 3. Camera/video quality isn't the best. The resolution is fine but skin tones can look pallid. 4. The upper half of the keyboard gets way too hot when doing routine things like streaming video while also charging the battery. Since I changed Windows settings to optimize power efficiency over performance, this problem went away. 5. The price is several hundred dollars more than what you could get for an ultrabook with similar specs. 6. The laptop casing shows finger oils quite easily, but I got a laptop skin, so that's no longer an issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generally the ThinkPad X1 series costs a lot of money for what it offers, at least compared to other laptops in the same price range. But if the build quality and reliability are there, then it's worth it. I personally liked the monitor, and the keyboard. It's light, but quite sturdy, it doesn't bend or rattle when moved.
