Internet outages? No problem with the MR6550.

Very pleased with my purchase of the MR6550. It works as advertised and has saved my bacon several times during Wi-Fi outages. Works well at hotels and pretty much everywhere. Easy setup took 2 mins tops. I use an AT&T sim with no issues.

It is a lot faster than my older 4G/LTE hotspot. I am sure it will be well worth the cost as I do many events on location and need a dependable hotspot. It works well so far with my ATT account.

Getting a SIM from any of the wireless carriers is a bit of a challenge as all of them would rather sell you what they have. Also, On all their web pages checking if the device is compatible, their checker shows that the IMEI is not compatible. Easiest way is to have the SIM activated for a plan with a descent hotspot size, then install in the unit. This was the way I was able to get it to work. It works flawlessly with impressive stable speeds. Would recommend without reservations.

Fantastic! Screaming fast and super easy SIM swap

This thing is so fast on Verizon it’s blinding. 127MBps down and 55 up. Easily can switch to AT&T by swapping SIM. Results: not as good, but decent 89MBps down and 29 up. Using the antenna slows things (it’s 2x2 mimo vs internal antenna at 4x4) but critical when signal is marginal.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
