Upgrade from Fenix 5

Bought the Epic Pro Gen 2 Sapphire as a Father's Day present to myself. Had been very happy with the Fenix 5 I had for several years and wanted the AMOLED display. Features are very similar. I use the Strength, Walking, and SUP apps the most. They work well and have better features and can be customized easily.
The only negative is that it seems to take a very abrupt wrist gesture to get the display to activate and show the time. I tried to find a way to have the display on all the time to no avail. Also the overall frame is a little smaller that the similar Fenix, so I might have opted for the 47mm vs the 42.

Aesthetic and useful

I’ve had it for a month now and have used it for backpacking, hiking, running, cycling, paddle boarding, and swimming. And I love it! The only thing I wish it had was better battery for the 42mm. I climbed baker for 2 days 1 night and it had died on me on the second day. I need to figure out how to change the settings so it doesn’t drain the battery as much. But overall I love it!! Recommend it to everyone who loves the outdoors and is overall an active person and still want to look cute.

Love the new screen

Love it. Like the workout suggestions. Like the brightness of the screen. But I wish it came in white and not the sand/brown. Otherwise happy to have made the upgrade.

Love the look and feel! Awesome Watch!

I received the watch about 2 weeks ago and sofar it has been great! It took a while to get used to, coming from the FR 965. The epic will be the daily fitness tracker and the FR 965 will be used for the runs/ walks etc. So far I am loving it. Would love more options for dressier bands so that it looks great as well in a professional setting.

I am already familiar with Garmin's features, but the Epix Pro Gen 2 distinguishes itself by its beautiful color screen, which means that the contrasts are very high and the display has become very easy to read.

Sent back my Venu 2 for this. Miss no contacts on the watch and ability to answer a call on the watch . Know that's due to water resistant ability. Think there are others that have mic and resistance. Haven't decided on the wrist band design... certainly narrows selection. Like the look of the watch and screen is bright and clear. Wish there were more apps. Would like to have the ability to add android apps so I could use the watch to start my car.

First Smart/Fitness Watch

Bought it a few weeks ago and like it so far. The heart rate sensor does not seem to read all the time. For example, Ill be working out and know my heart rate is not 78-90, Ill move it a bit and it will jump to the appropriate heart rate, and then slowly go back down. This happens more during strength training and not very confident in the readings. For the price I would think it would be more accurate during training.
Its pretty easy to get use to and I can easily get to the right information on the watch when needed.
The durability seems great as I have accidentally have knocked it on a few things and no scratches, breaks, or scuffs.
