A curvier Barbie for that curvier girl.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] On thing I loved most about this doll is that she is curvier than most of the other Barbies And my grandaughter noticed it right away and even commented that she had a tummy like her's. She loved the outfit she was wearing that was so fashionable.

Lots of accessories and poseable joints.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my kid's first Barbie, and it is a lot cooler than the ones from my childhood. 1st of all, she is very detailed with a lot of posable joints. Many expressions are possible and she can stand on her own with some effort. The only downside is the package is a bit hard to open.
There are a lot of accessories to her outfit and (my child's favorite) a koala with glasses that match Barbie's ear rings. The included stickers ended up on the doll house.
So far Barbie has been mommy to the many other small toys that live in the doll house and they go out for nuggets. Looks like she fits in well here.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Lovely doll improves the Barbie Extra line.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This doll is a step in the right direction for Barbie Extra. She is beautiful, with features that are correctly (and finely) printed. You can only see the dot matrix in her eyes if you enlarge photos of her face. Her clothing is cute, a mix of 80s and 90s retro looks. The color palette is pure 80s retro, combined with 90s high waist bottoms, a crop top, and a funky cardigan with butterflies motifs on her hair, sweater, and hand.
Her hair is softer and finer than previous Barbie Extra dolls that I've held. This is a big improvement; I felt their hair was pretty coarse in the past. The only problem is that she is supposed to have wavy hair (according to the pictures), but the waves must have fallen out because her hair was nearly straight.
The package was also easier to open than previous Barbie Extra dolls. You only need scissors to remove the doll's head from the plastic. Everything else can be opened and accessed by folding in tabs and removing the cardboard backing.
With her colorful outfit, soft hair, pretty face, an cute purple Koala bear companion, this doll will be a hit for children of any age. My 7 year old niece loved her and spent many hours playing with her. She didn't care for the animal companion, though. I think she prefers realistic looking toys. Her soft hair and high quality clothes makes her a good gift for older doll collectors as well.
It's good to see the Barbie Extra line improving as time goes on.

Cute Butterfly theme!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging of the Barbie Extra 20 is beautiful. The colors are bright. The doll and accessories are well attached. The knit jacket is well made and the seams are covered which is nice to avoid fraying. The hair of the doll is a bit messy once taken out of the packaging. The accessories are cute and detailed. I was disappointed with the white necklace. The "Barbie" print is not centered. The legs of the doll have two textures. It's part shiny and matte. It doesn't look good and inconsistent with the rest of the doll's body. I like that it has some articulation. I can position it to sit and bend the arms. The butterfly details are nice. Overall, the doll is amazing. The butterfly theme is really cute and the colors brought it to life.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Early 90's vibe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1st doll with a real knit sweater!!! and the amazing butterfly buttons, ring, hair clips, feeling a lisa frank vibe with the stickers for either her canteen purse, pet or my nephew put them on her face. Nice to see more curvy body types like in the real world as well keeping the articulated knees and elbows for many posing sessions. The glasses don't stay on her or her pet...neither of us could get them to stay on the doll/pet. Overall great doll with light blue loooong hair, feels cheap dry but didn't bother the kiddo while brushing.

BARBIE EXTRA DOLL

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this product on a normal play day at the house. Some things we liked for one were the new tabs on the package for ease of opening. Made it easy for my 3 year old to open with minimal assistance. Another thing we liked were the accessories with all the bright colors. The bright colors caught her attention and kept her focused. The joints in the arms and legs were an added bonus. My daughter liked that she could pose her the way she wanted. There were a couple things my daughter did not care for. Some of the accessories are not removable i.e: the earrings, the butterfly clips and the butterflies on the sweater. With the butterfly clips in the hair not being removable, it made it hard for my daughter to style the way she preferred. There was also a little confusion on whether or not the sweater was supposed to stay attached to the shirt since it was tacked????
