Very impressive laptop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This a beautiful machine, both inside and out! I work in IT and have used many different computers over the years, and I’m thoroughly impressed with the performance of this one. This thing is FAST! With the i7 processor and 16GB of RAM, it can handle anything I’ve thrown at it without slowing down. It has plenty of storage space to hold all of your video, photo and music collections. The GeForce graphics card is amazing and pairs great with the high quality touch screen monitor. The colors are so bright and vibrant on the screen, and the touch function is spot on. One of the things I love most is how well ventilated this laptop is. With such a high powered machine things can tend to run hot, but this has a large ventilation strip on the bottom to prevent heat. The other thing I love is how quiet the fan is when it runs - it’s not loud like some brands I’ve used. There are plenty of ports for your peripheral equipment and the battery life is great. This is a top quality machine through and through and you won’t be disappointed.

The components, screen, and overall build of the laptop are fantastic. Heavy tasks run with ease and games run quite well.
HOWEVER, I purchased this laptop to use in school, and my unit is averaging about 3 hours per charge (battery saver, lowest brightness, no keyboard lighting, and no background tasks with only chrome open doing light web surfing/homework) which is unacceptable and unusable for my use case. I will have to either get a replacement unit or return this laptop since I've tried everything short of opening my unit (reading battery logs, tweaking settings, closing all applications on startup, amongst many other things). I want to love this laptop, but the battery life makes it unusable for me.

Laptop is bad. 1. Screen constantly flickers on/off, especially when it's plugged in and I'm trying to type. Imagine how frustrating it is to try and type profesionally while the screen keeps turning off. 2. Constantly overheating when charging while being used in a very typical fashion - emails, word docs, pdfs. I do not run any games or large usage programs, although I did purchase this laptop in the hopes of using it for Autodesk's Revit at some point in the future. Given how horribly it performs while charging, I'm not sure it can handle anything but the simplest of activities.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have passed up on a lot of laptops because there always seems to be a compromise between function and speed. I use my computers for video editing, raw photo editing and so much more. I tried a different laptop for a few months but had to return it because it was just struggling. I ordered this HP laptop which was a perfect size at 16 inches. It came in an incredible box that was more like a small suitcase with a thoughtful handle. It was simple and elegant. It was easy to open and unpack and all of the accessories were neatly and smartly packaged. Setting up the computer was quite simple and everything was just clever. This comes with the new version of windows which is a nice upgrade as well. I installed my programs that I use for a video and photo editing and I was instantly impressed by how quickly the computer boots up and how fast the programs load. This is a factor of the blazing fast CPU together with the impressive RAM and the large SSD hard drive. The computer is just a literal beast. It renders video effortlessly and at approximately five times the speed of my previous computer. I have tried a few games on the computer just to see the speed and ran a benchmark which completely blew my mind. This laptop has outperformed any desktop I have ever owned and compared to other monster computers, it’s benchmark Scores are significantly higher. The screen is simply dazzling. You may think that all screens are the same but this one comes with a super impressive display that can go toe to toe with the most expensive of televisions out there. On top of the crystal clear display, the Bang & Olufsen audio is not to be believed. When I ordered the laptop I thought that this audio would be like what you hear on any laptop, but I am still amazed at how such a simple looking speaker system on a laptop could sound so incredibly immersive. The sound has a depth and a base that I have never heard previously from a laptop. I should also mention that the laptop is simply beautiful to look at; it is slim, sleek and just elegant overall. All in all, this laptop is simply incredible. I have always used HP printers and have been impressed but this is my first laptop from them and I believe that their laptops are even more impressive than their printers. I highly recommend this laptop to anyone who is sick and tired of slow computers and who needs an absolute racehorse and power horse!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My view of HP ENVY Laptop 16", Windows 11 Home, Intel® Core™ i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060, WQXGA it is very nice great color has a nice amount of memory it downloads very well has a great amount of apps the screen is great to be able to watch videos sound quality is good you can either use the mouse or the touch screen the keyboard letters are large that’s a plus very detailed instructions on how to set up and connect to wifi is great and is lite weight

Powerful, sleek, laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow, what a difference when using this laptop compared to my previous one.
First off, the graphics are incredible. My video calls have never looked so clear and crisp. The colors on the large screen are so vibrant. The sound is crystal clear and plenty loud enough. The entire set up process, along with network connectivity with the laptop, was flawless.
I was shocked at how long the battery lasted. When it was finally time to charge, it was quick. It has more storage space, then I could possibly ever use. Best of all, I have never had a laptop that had this kind of speed.
The laptop itself is very sleek, lightweight and stylish. Best of all, I have never had a laptop that had this kind of speed. I couldn’t ask for anything more from a laptop. Highly recommended!

Horrible QA. Laptop was defective out of the box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was defective out of the box with some pretty serious issues. The most serious issue is that the laptop was not cooling the GPU which caused the GPU to throttle itself to keep from overheating while I was gaming. Yet even with the GPU throttled as low as it would go and the game only running at 20 fps the GPU was still close to 100 degrees Celsius. The other problem I had was that the screen had a line of pixels that had gone bad.
Other than those serious issues I think overall I would have given the laptop a 4 or a 5 based upon what was working.
What I like the most about this laptop is the sound. Every other laptop that I have ever owned has had pretty horrible sound quality and the volume was so low that I would have to wear headphones in order to hear what was going on if there was any background noise. Which isn't the case for this laptop because the sound quality is great and to top it off my wife was complaining about the laptop being too loud even when she was in the next room.
Also I was pleasantly surprised to find that this laptop had a 4k touch screen which is a big plus in my book. And despite the column of dead pixels the image quality on the laptop was quite superb.
