[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product and where I tried to use it, it started having issues. There was a clicking sound coming from within. I notified Lenova and they were unable to resolve the problem. They stated that they would replace the laptop. I got an email from them today telling me that the shipment had been delayed for up to thirty days. Now I'm stuck with a faulty laptop to do my work on and hope it doesn't crash on me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good laptop overall, but volume isn't loud enough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd straight Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5. I love these computers as a balance between features (two-way laptop [laptop and tablet modes], backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, 14" keyboard) and cost (I've paid between $440 and $740 depending on the specific model). The fact that I keep getting them every 3 or 4 years should tell you all you need to know about how I feel about these laptops. Are they the highest end? No. But most people aren't looking for that. For the price, I am getting features I want.
Unfortunately, with this particular model that I bought (82XX0036US, about $740), my main issue is that the max volume level is still low. I'm frustrated that I can't go higher with the volume. The speakers on this model are on the top sides of the keyboard and for some reason, it just doesn't get to the level of the previous laptops. The difference is noticeable, maybe about 80% of what it should be. My recommendation is to avoid the models with the speakers on the top side of the keyboard if you can and I hope Lenovo is able to work on this for future models. Unfortunately that's a big enough issue for me to lower my rating to a 3. Everything else is a 5.
