It’s a beautiful monitor, works well as a monitor but terrible as a smart monitor. Got it because it supports AirPlay but it is very laggy so returned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good smart monitor

I'm bought this to use as a monitor when I work from home. I'm happy I can watch Netflix and you tube on it. I'm ok with it not being 4k as my main purpose was to connect it to my laptop to work remote.
I would recommend this to a friend!
