Nice Safety Device and Assistance Tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Bed Assist really came in handy because I am the caretaker of a parent with Parkinson’s Disease. The symptoms of this disease make muscle movements difficult and assistance is needed to walk, get out of chairs and bed, get out of a shower…etc. Independence is important to my elderly parent so this device made it possible to get in and out of bed without the assistance of another person.
The device is a bit cumbersome and help is needed to assemble it. Once the bar is slid under the mattress, it stays securely in place so the bar can be used to lift oneself up and then used as an anchor to move out of the bed. The bar can also be used to secure a person’s position in the bed so there is no fear of falling or rolling out of the bed.
The device is difficult to use when getting into bed because one would have to go around the device to clear the space to get in. However, if the bar is centered on the mattress, it can be used for this maneuver as well.
The quality of this bar and the hardware is excellent, sturdy, and strong.

I love how quick you just attach the parts, you do have to lift or move your mattress to place the assist bar underneath so it can stay sturdy. This is very good for those who struggle to get up from the bed due to old age or those who have injuries and need help getting up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my disabled mother and it works great! It was very easy to put on her bed and the instructions were very clear. It took about 10 minutes to install, she loves it and thinks it's easy to use.

Great assist bar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being disabled, some days I have problems getting out of bed. This assist bar has been a God send. It helps me get the leverage I need to get up and out of bed. Once I'm up, I'm good but that initial getting up is/was my biggest issue. This bar has fixed that for me and I am so very thankful. The days of calling for my husband to help me are gone now. I don't know why I hadn't gotten one sooner. It was easy to assemble and easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hardest part was getting it on the bed because of how our bed is set up. We still have a box spring. So it is wrapped around the box spring and some times our mattress slides. This has kept the mattress from sliding. This has allowed me to get in and out the bed easier since I have to crawl off the end of it. It has helped alot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Martha Stewart BAR, BED ASSIST, M HANDLE is made really sturdy and has very good straps to use to hold it in position. This isn't for keeping you from falling out of bed as much as it is to help you get out of bed by having a solid rail to hold onto. If you start the straps from the end of the the bed and walk them upward, that will make it easy to put on under the mattress.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mother in law has a very hard time getting out of bed in the morning. Her knees don't work great so she needs help assisting herself out of bed. This bar bed assist handle is amazing. You secure it under the beds mattress and you strap it so it's not going anywhere. You can adjust it to the location on your bed you need it most. I like that it's sturdy and she feels confident and comfortable using it to maintain her independence and get out of bed. It has a pocket so she can place her glasses and phone inside so she can find them quickly.
