Buy a bike trailer

i have bought the tule ride along and Yepp and you have to have a thule bike in order for these products to work ( thule bikes dont exist) You either have a hit or miss when buying child bike seats. Very complicated. Just buy a kids bike trailer and pull them with out worrying about screwing your head (Literally so many screws)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Thule Yepp Maxi. I'm sorry it did not fit your bike and family needs. Thule child bike seats are not designed for specific bikes, but do have a range of measurement requirements of the frame and bike to ensure a safe and secure fit. These measurements are listed in the user manuals, which are available in the Downloads section of the Thule product page. You can also find information on Thule bike seat fitment on the following FAQ page. https://help.thule.com/s/article/How-do-I-know-if-a-Yepp-or-RideAlong-child-bike-seat-will-fit-my-bike-en-us?language=en_US

Sucks so far. The seat delivered within 2 wks after I ordered it then when I installed the seat on my bike it didn't fit. So I had to order the low ride adapter bc the baby seat was to low on my bike tire and have yet to receive the low rid adapter..... so I would love to give a review but unfortunately i cant until the adapter comes in.... very upset

Love it, with one exception.

Overall, I love this product. It is well designed and relatively easy to install with one exception... I had to take an angle grinder to my seat post to get the mounting bracket to fit. I have a step through frame which included a welded brake cable guide piece which caused the mounting bracket to rotate side to side about 10 degrees when I tightened the hex bolts. Overall, and excellent seat and well designed. I just wish that the mounting bracket included a reversible "compressible" EPDM rubber piece that would "balance" out the off center lump created by such welded brake cable guides. In this case, the child seat cost more that the bike, so I decided to grind off the piece and put some clear acrylic over it prior to installing the bracket. Would be happy to collaborate with Thule if interested see sketch.

Good Assembly

Great Product. I would love an instructional video (with links near product) on how to remove bar caps so old assembles can be removed and new ones added.

Best rear child's bike seat on the market, in my estimation. Easy on / easy off for me, comfortable for the grandkids, solidly built; what else is there? Pricey but worth it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Would work if it fit.

This product obviously is very well built. Unfortunately after all the headache of ordering/waiting/trying to find information i came to the conclusion through trial and error that this product (even with the low saddle adapter) simply does not work with a Trek Xcaliber 8 29er. Such an absolute shame. Was really hoping this would work. Another 3-4” with the low saddle adapter and it would have work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear the Thule RideAlong did not fit your bike. Mountain bike geometry can make it more difficult to fit a child bike seat as they are generally not designed for adding accessories. The bike measurements needed for a safe fit are listed in the Thule RideAlong user manual, which is downloadable from the Thule.com product page. You can compare those measurements to your bike to see if the seat will be compatible prior to purchase.
