Secure bike rack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 - 1.25" bike rack is an excellent choice for a solid secure bike rack. Installation was a bit tricky and would be much easier if it included illustrations. We had to work at it for a bit but once everything was put together this is a great sturdy rack. We aren't traveling with very heavy duty bikes but it could handle heavy ones. The bikes are secure as of the rack. Would be great for anyone needing a new one.

Great Rack, Instructions not so great

I have not actually used the rack yet since it just arrived 2 days ago. The rack seems really sturdy and solid. I love that is tilt away from the car when the bikes are on it. I also really like it comes with a built in cable to lock the bikes to the rack. I do believe now that the rack is assembled I will love it.
The reason for 4 stars is the instructions. The hitch locking system was contusing. Words with the picture would have been a great help. I was going to go to a store that sells the rack for assistance, but after watching two youtube videos, I was ultimately able to get it to lock. Words with the pictures in the assembly instructions should be considered on future products.

My EMTB was held solidly in place with very little shake and safely made it from Georgia to Wisconsin. Most trailer hitch type of racks have a lot of shake and low weight limits. This rack was perfect the heavy full suspension Electric Mountain Bike.

I've been using the T2 PRO XTR bike rack for about a month now and it is a fantastic build. Setting up out of the box was pretty straight forward with the tool included and took maybe an hour total to get the 2 bike and the 2 bike attachment all set up to carry 4 total bikes. I really like the ease of getting on the hitch with the integrated lock pin and dial to get it snug. Carrying 2 to 4 bikes you see minimal bounce and sway which I like a lot. No worrying that bumpy roads will break the rack. Loading and unloading is easy, the cable lock is easy to use and feels strong. The only complaint I have is that the lock cores for the 2 bike base and the 2 bike attachment did not come with the same key cores. I have to order new cores to have all use the same key which is a bummer since this was purchased at the same time.

We needed this rack as it seemed the highest rated for weight of 2 bikes. We have two heavy gravel ebikes and this rack works for us. Easy to put bikes on securely, a good lock, and folds up smooth and secure when not in use. Sets into the hitch well and then knob tightener is easy to use to make the rack secure to the hitch. Use video instructions you find online to clarify some installation steps but easy to do in 30 minutes or less.

This bike rack is very solid and well built. Bikes do not bounce around and are very secure. I really like that the bikes are held down by the wheels and nothing touches the frame.
