I've had many bike racks and just replaced a Yakima hitch rack with the Thule T2 Pro XTR (2") and it is the most solidly built rack I have ever used. It is built like a tank and though a little on the heavy side, it will accommodate individual bikes up to 60 lbs...excellent for emountain bikes (which are in my future as an aging MTBer!)! The wheels for moving the rack around when not on the vehicle is a plus. Bikes dont move once on the rack. Highly recommended.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Thule T2 XTR 2-2 hitch bike rack has worked well for us. True it is a bit heavy. I like the sturdiness of the rack. My one issue is the handle does not allow much room to put hand in to adjust.
This rack is everything you could want in a tow hitch style carrier. In a day and age of poorly manufactured items this rack is bomber. It's heavy but the addition of wheels for rolling the rack around is brilliant. My only criticism is the directions for assembly are kind of poor. Specifically it comes with three locks you install yourself. The directions do not do a good job of differentiating between them and It is easy to install a cable lock for the main lock. Honestly, the main key should work all three but it doesn't with mine.
There are not many racks that work out of the box with the Jeep Wrangler, including this rack. However, once I added a hitch extension, the rack was set up perfectly. I was looking for a rack that works well for both my mountain bike and road bike. My previous THULE hanging rack did not support my mountain bike, leading to this purchase. Only using this rack the few times, it has been so easy and quick to get the bikes on and off. *Note, for anyone using the hitch extension for a Wrangler, the rack will bounce around. I still need to get a spacer to help tighten the hitch extension, but otherwise it works great!
I bought the the Thule 9034XTR T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike 2" Rack 30 days ago and can't say more good things about it. The initial install and setup was super easy. The hitch and bike locking systems are totally rad. It's well worth the investment!
Easy to put together, very well made. Only complaint is that the straps are too small for fat bike tires no matter what the instructions say. Easy to fix with some ties.
