Purchased for 4 bikes. Handle easy to use, heavy but not so heavy it can't be lifted by a shorter person. So easy to load and unload any type or size bike on it. Was able to assembly quickly. We added Red/White Conspicuity Reflective Tape (cut into narrower strips) to various places on the rack in both the stored and loaded positions to improve visibility and hopefully prevent anyone from hitting the rack from behind. Would never want to go back to our old rack.
Over the years, I have had many types of bike carriers and I can honestly say this is the BEST. I purchased the 9034XTR T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike rack. It is secure, heavy-duty, easy to use, and looks great to top it off. I love that it has wheels to move around, and comes with built-in locks for both, the rack and your bikes. A word of caution, the feature for tilting the rack down with bikes on, is hard to use with e-bikes (too heavy), but that is not due to the rack itself.
We purchased the9 034XTR T2 Pro XTR 2 and are loving it. We compared it specifically with Kuat as it seemed these two had the most features and matched our needs. I really like the handle to raise and lower the rack and felt the foot level on the Kuat would have been hard to reach with bikes loaded. The feature that sold me is that I don't need an adapter for my son's 20" bike wheels, which saves time and money. Overall we're loving the rack and don't have any complaints after 3 months of use.
I've had many bike racks and just replaced a Yakima hitch rack with the Thule T2 Pro XTR (2") and it is the most solidly built rack I have ever used. It is built like a tank and though a little on the heavy side, it will accommodate individual bikes up to 60 lbs...excellent for emountain bikes (which are in my future as an aging MTBer!)! The wheels for moving the rack around when not on the vehicle is a plus. Bikes dont move once on the rack. Highly recommended.
