I had a Thule T2 Pro XTR on my suburban when I was rear-ended and the rack and bike were both destroyed. The day I got the check from the insurance company I purchased a new T2 Pro XTR and received it well before my car was repaired. It is SUPER easy to lock down any of my 3 style of bikes without any complicated adjustments. It also holds my wife's e-bike as well as mine without any issues. Plus, the self-contained locking cable makes it super secure if we want to stop along our drive home from our ride to get something to eat.
This is a great product, so sturdy and easy to use, it takes no time to secure the bikes on there and nothing is wobbly or feels un-safe. My only complain is the "instruction manual" that I thought was really tough and confusing when it came to putting the carrier together and installing it: pictures only, no words. I ended up finding a YouTube video and that did the trick.

Great rack!

I saw the negative review and had to chime in. Sounds like he/she had missing parts so that really doesn't reflect the actual performance of the rack. I just purchased this rack and so far I have had no issues with it. I have 2 full suspension e-bikes and it carries them well. If I was being super critical, I would say the anti-rattle function could snug up a little better. Assembly was pretty straight forward but some written instructions would be nice in addition to the pictures. Keep in mind that the companies that build this type of rack have to deal with hundreds of sizes/shapes of bikes and can only make it so versatile. I have a Kuat NV2 on my other vehicle and that is a great rack too. Can't say which one I like better as they are both outstanding.

Great for e bikes

Buying new e bikes, I needed a new rack that would hold heavier bikes. I spent some time chatting with one of the Thule support team and the Thule T2 Pro XTR 2-2 was suggested - this was also the rack of choice from the Flaunt e bike team as well. The rack is heavy, but comes with attached wheels, so mounting to my hitch is really easy - just tip the wheels to engage and with a little lift - the rack is in the hitch position. Almost the same process to remove the hitch. Bike mounting (once you lift the heavy bike) is seamless and the bikes are very sturdy in the rack when traveling. This rack also folds nicely when not holding bikes.

License plate holder accessory a MUST
on September 29, 2021

As a rack, this thing is great. As a system, it's missing a key component. In the folded position the rack obscures most license plates and when loaded the bikes do. My parked car repeatedly got tickets to the point where the rack now lives in the garage. If you live in a city this is a dealbreaker. A *lit* tow along license plate is required by law. The Thule accessory for this has been sold out for over a year. Hopefully it's back someday. But for now I can't use this rack at all.

Great BUT always use lock (the arm can disengage)

The XTR is a great, rugged, heavy duty hitch mounted bike carrier. I even bought the 2 bike extension and had 4 heavy (60 pound each) fat tire ebikes on it. Besides the very lacking instructions, the only issue is that I dropped an ebike and gragged it for 10 miles because the front wheel arm disengaged during driving and slipped completely off the front wheel. I suppose it is obvious (but not mentioned in the instructions) but the integrated lock MUST be utilized not only for theft protection but also to make absolutely sure the front wheel arm clamp does not "wander" off the front wheel during the dynamics of driving. It happened twice but luckily I saw the arm disengaged before the bike dropped off on the second occurrence.
