Two things that prompted me to return it 1) bought this to be attached to my bed phone holder and it's way too big for viewing 2) the speakers for some reason don't work with my Switch despite the description saying it would (everything else i plugged in got audio through fine)

Okay, the GOOD news is the graphics are excellent;clear, sharp, vivid The QUESTION is, is the cost worth the (admittedly very bright) candle If it were a smaller size,he differences between this and a "standard" hi-def would be too smalltoo worry about If it were bigger AND if you were/are a dedicated gamer (frankly, I don't think it's really necessary for any other pursuit) this might make your little heart go pitty-pat But, at this size, right in the middle, YOU need to decide if the cost of beauty is worth the price of beauty

Great Display with Bright Colors and Inky Blacks
on March 8, 2022

This monitor features an outstanding picture - with color that pops and inky blacks. I had to adjust the brightness a bit, but out of the box it looks quite good. The monitor is powered via USB. It can be connected to a computer that has USB-C with video out with a single cable for video and power - or via the included power supply and HDMI. This gives you the option of USB-C alone, external power and HDMI, or external power and USB-C. I’m using it with my M1 Macbook Pro, and it was literally plug and play with a single cable - adding a second screen to my laptop. This is a welcome addition as I do a lot of digital media work - having a second low-latency high contrast display is great. The included color calibration report shows Adobe RGB color gamut - enabled via a menu. Speaking of menus, they are easy to navigate to control settings. The only minor complaint is one I can live with - the built in speakers are not very good - with a thin sound. The cover snaps on, protects the screen and back, and is easy to fold to use as a stand (well designed). Overall - this is a really nice display that gives me a lot more real estate for mobile digital media work, like video editing and Photoshop.

So i was buying cheaper monitors and there was an issue either with quality or with it actually working as they were suppose to. Finally decided after 3 monitors sent back to spend more and get the best deal still. I recieved this monitor and the quality blew me away every thing works the touch screen and pen function flawlessly. The beautiful colors and crisp image is worth every penny

This is working as advertised and does have a very nice picture on it. The dark blacks in vivid colors are what I was expecting to see for an OLED display. The build quality is slightly higher than I expected and what I would have to rate is excellent. The plastic case that comes with it keeps all the edges safe from bumps and is not that much different than most plastic cell phone cases, but it does tend to cheapen the feel of the monitor when it is on. The screen cover built into that case and that doubles as the stand works okay but is limited to horizontal view only and uses very weak magnets to hold itself together. In general, I would have preferred a simple magnetic wrap screen protector that doubles as a stand like Asus has on their portable monitors, even though it would not provide as much protection as they included case.
Works great with my Mac mini M1, in contrary to everything I read, touch support with gestures appears to be supported out of the box in the latest version of Mac OS Monterey. The gestures don't seem 100% complete but multi-finger drags work as expected while scrolling requires two finger drags instead of one. The display also properly goes to sleep and wakes up as expected to say battery life in the monitor.
I have not done testing to measure If the battery lasts as long as advertised, but I have verified that even laptops that provide PD power to devices will not prevent the display from draining its own battery. I suspect this is because they have some type of logic either rejecting PD power if display mode is enabled or if the PD power being provided is lower than their 30 watt charger. However, you can keep the display running an infinite amount of time if you keep a 30+ watt PD power supply connected to the second USB-C port.
As long as this monitor continues to last for the next couple years then I think this was an excellent purchase.

Great portable OLED screen

Initially encountered an issue with the HDMI, the blacks weren't deep, but figured out that my PC needed to output full RGB colors to get the deep blacks, it defaulted to limited color for some reason. The settings to fix that issue will vary from systems to systems, but you can search "How to Avoid Washed Out Colors When Using HDMI on Your PC" to find an article on a few ways to fix it. Aside from that, I'm happy with the purchase, but gaming isn't great for fast-paced/competitive games, but it's awesome for adventure/single-player games. Some wishes for the next iteration: less reflective screen, 90+Hz for better PC gaming, QD-OLED would be interesting in this size, stronger speakers, and adaptive sync would be cool.

One of the best portable monitors out there.

I'm primarily using this with my nintendo switch(connect the usb c display cable directly to the switch to get audio), and smartphone. It has excellent picture quality, inky blacks, and vibrant colors thanks to the oled display. I was pleasantly surprised by its build quality, and its thin profile. It's lightweight(1.6lbs), so it can work really well for those that want to rest it on their laps, while they use it in bed for watching tv shows, or playing switch, even better if your bed is near a power outlet. Its got two speakers, but sadly no audio jack. Sound is okay, it's not the loudest speakers, but depending on where, and when you're using it, it might be enough. I recommend using headphones/speakers via the connected device for a better experience.
You get a solid amount of settings to play with, which include: •Home(Increase/decrease brightness, contrast, and sound) •Six profile modes(Standard, Text, Movie, Game, Adobe RGB, and SRGB) •Color Temperature (RGB adjustment include: 6500K, 9300K, and user custom) •Color (Adjust Chroma, Saturation, and Sharpness) •Eye protection (four levels of limiting blue light)
Whats included in the box: • Power Brick • Charging Cable usb c to usb c • HDMI Mini to hdmi cable • Usb C to usb c display cable( use this one on the nintendo switch to get audio) • Case that also acts as a stand
Closing thoughts: My first impression is a very positive one. Setting it up was pretty simple, and the picture quality was very impressive. Played Metroid for an hour and a half, and it looked gorgeous, then I streamed some witcher on netflix, and some Chad on hbo max. Unfortunately I couldn't get the amazon prime video to work through the usb c cable connection, I kept getting a decryption error code notice. It did work with the hdmi mini cable. The one omission that stands out is the lack of audio jack, which would've made for a better cable management situation for many. Personally I prefer to reduce cables, so I connected my bluetooth headphones to the device, and it worked perfectly fine. You can also plug your external speakers, or headphones directly to the device if you prefer. Hopefully in the future, we get a 1080P model that includes a built in battery, while retaining the same or similar price. The 4k model feels unreasonably priced in my opinion.
Pros •Excellent picture quality •Plenty of settings for you to play with, though the out of the box calibration is very good. I only adjusted brightness, which I set to 0(0-100 range) since I'm using it with the lights off, and eye protection(blue light) set to lvl 1 •Nice build quality •Includes all the needed cables for it to work, and the cables are labeled. •Included case feels nice, and works very well as a stand thanks to its clever design.
Cons •Lack of Audio jack might be an issue for some •Lack of built in battery for max portability. Understandably to keep cost downs. Hopefully components keep getting cheaper, and we can get one included in newer models while retaining the same price, or not increasing too much for consumers. •To my knowledge, the only way to get audio to work on nintendo switch is through usb c to usb c display cable. Which on the positive side, means you don't need the dock for it to work, provided your switch has enough battery. On the downside, the amount of energy provided by the monitor to the switch isn't enough to charge it, or keep it from draining while playing. With that said, I was able to play Metroid for an hour and a half, and it only dropped 15% (100 to 85), though Metroid isn't as intensive as something like BOTW. So keep that in mind.

This is a great monitor . I was looking for OLED screen for daily work, 4K doesnt matter to me. So this monitor works well for me while in transit. My only complain is i wish they would have made it in bigger size like 17 "or 21 "
