The only affordable portable OLED screen on the market
on August 24, 2021

I’ve been waiting for an oled monitor for a few years now. The only option available was an asus 21” at $+4k. Which is a bit excessive. So I was happy when this model came up. Overall a nicely designed monitor. Very bright under controlled lighting environment. Besides I’d never work in plain sun. Colors are accurate enough for design and photography work. There’s even a battery just in case you need it on the go but to me it’s a useless feature. If you have a usbc cable to plug it into your computer I don’t see why you’d need a battery. I haven’t managed to connect wirelessly with my iPhone yet. Casing is solid and doesn’t bend which is a big thing if you take it with you as cabin luggage. 4K resolution is still a little much on a 15 inch monitor. I’d rather see a HD or QHD model in OLED. I think 4K are nice on +27 inch monitors. Otherwise annoying feature on legacy app where fonts are tiny. Touchscreen works as a laptop. Overall I’m happy with my purchase.

awesome solution

This is a pricey little monitor, but if your need is like mine, it's worth the price. I have a number of servers and desktop machines spread out around the house for Chia farming. Opening up the machines for remote management has serious downsides, and besides, I really don't need the extra software - so this monitor serves both as monitor and touchscreen, and is easily and simply portable so I can use it across all my machines without worrying about power or compatitiblity. It just works! It IS pricey, though.

Awesome color rendition, brightness. Great packaging.

This is a VERY high-quality screen. I use it with a 2020 MBP, and the color/brightness is every bit as good (if not better) than the Mac's own screen. The case is secure, and includes a stand that supports two different viewing angles. The whole thing folds up into a package you can easily carry in your backpack. All that's needed is a USB-C to USB-C cable.
Great for when we go on the road and want a 2nd screen.
Highly, highly recommended.

Whoa! This is nice!

I’ve got eight systems that I have to check on/work on occasionally. I can’t always remote in, so a monitor is required, but I’m too cheap to buy a monitor for each system, and the switches I picked up are spotty at best when there is some other issue with a system. As a result, I have been trying to pin down a decent mobile monitor for at least seven months. The search resulted in one that was so-so but too expensive for what it was, so I didn’t keep it, and another that was so poorly built that it hardly works. I ended up keeping that one and battle it daily. This INNOCN monitor might be the exact opposite of my current mobile monitor foe.
This monitor is extremely well built. I will reiterate, this is an extremely high-quality monitor.
It has always been difficult for me to mentally reconcile a company name that I’ve never heard with a fantastic product. I know that shouldn’t be the case, but I think it’s a matter of expectations. When I see a product from a company that I’ve never heard of, I guess I assume that the reputation risk is lower, so they can get away with spreading the margin. Well, that was certainly not the case here.
No, this is not an inexpensive piece of equipment, but it is in no way cheaply constructed. Imagine the highest end tablet that you’ve ever used, but without the functionality of a computer. Or imagine the highest quality monitor that you’ve used, but that can be carried in your work bag and has 4 hours of battery life. This monitor falls in the overlap of that Venn diagram.
Superior form and function is the best summary. The monitor itself is rock solid, with beautiful fit and finish. With the included case/stand, it is really something to behold.
As for function, I was hoping that this would at least be a fully functional monitor that could hold a charge and could be plugged into any system without having to download/upload and redownload/reupload drivers. It is certainly that. What I was not expecting was that this monitor would be among the highest end in terms of color representation, contrast, response, and refresh rate.
My lifetime hobby has been photography/videography. That hobby has taken me through a wide range of monitors over the years. Because I’m a frugal person (my wife would say cheapskate), I have ventured into brands that I am unfamiliar with on more than one occasion. It is not uncommon in that space for claims to be made about color accuracy and coverage and contrast that simply aren’t true, so, although I suppose I noticed some pretty spectacular claims in the product listing for this monitor, I didn’t think much of them. To my great surprise, I now feel that those claims might be accurate.
I have a nice BenQ monitor that I picked up specifically for color correction and grading. I love that monitor and, although I was quite hesitant at the time to spend the money on it, I am so glad that I made the purchase. I hesitate to say it because I understand the enormity of the claim, but I have now used this monitor in conjunction with the BenQ, and this little INNOCN monitor has no problem keeping up. In fact – and this could just be a factor of the smaller screen size – I believe the INNOCN might be more spunky on refresh and response. There is zero ghosting. There is zero lag.
I am beyond impressed.
A nice mobile monitor, just a monitor, seems like it should be easy enough to track down in this day and age. Based on my experience, it is not. Thankfully, this monitor is exactly that: a truly nice mobile monitor that isn’t weighed down by all the baggage that comes with trying to use a nice tablet computer as a mobile monitor.
On the monitor that I received, the color accuracy was amazing compared to other monitors I have which I know have been professionally calibrated. I will withhold an overall opinion on this until I see if other reviewers had the same experience, because I know color has a tendency to fluctuate dramatically among even products of the exact same make and model. But I’m certainly pleased with what I’ve personally experienced.
I cannot say it enough, this is an amazing monitor. Honestly, had I not been given the opportunity to try it out for the sake of review, the lack of brand recognition and price tag might have scared me off. But, now that I know, I am truly blown away. I hope that INNOCN has the opportunity to get this product into enough hands to catch traction with it, because this is a genuinely top-notch product.
It probably doesn’t need to be said, but I highly recommend this product!

One Flaw: touch functions disconnect on HDMI mode if the wall charger is connected
on July 29, 2021
Posted by: Anonymous
Was hesitant due to obscure brand, but it's very nice.
Pros:
-Excellent display quality.
-Very bright.
-sRGB and Adobe RGB modes in menu.
-Comes with calibration report.
-Metal chassis feels sturdy.
-Elegantly designed.
-Comes with protective rubber jacket that also functions as a stand.
-Works with Galaxy S20 phone. Dex starts right up.
-Auto rotate. Can be switched on and off.
-Decent battery life.
-Can charge your phone too!
Cons:
-HDMI mode will drop touch input if you connect the wall charger.
-USB C mode is somewhat laggy on Windows.
-USB C and HDMI mode will be recognized by Windows as separate active displays at the same time. Very annoying.
-Sometimes refuses to switch to HDMI.
-Audio quality is lacking but who cares it doesn't need it.
Overall solid product with some annoying firmware hang-ups.

1 major flaw and several minor ones.
on August 9, 2021
Posted by: Anonymous
The unusably bad:
Extremely reflective screen, unusable in well-lit room even at maximum brightness.
The minor annoyance:
Input latency is quite high, you probably won't be playing competitive FPS games on this monitor.
Very quiet speakers, only suitable for use in extremely quiet environments.
Advertises 100% DCI-P3 but even in any color modes, I'm not able to get the red to be red enough to fit inside the DCI-P3 specs, definitely covers sRGB though.
Quite heavy (2 lbs+) due to its metal construction.
The good:
Display gets very bright, 500+ nits.
Fairly uniform grey levels for an OLED display.
The device supports USB-C PD input (i.e. charge the OLED display) on the top USB-C port.
Also supports USB-C PD 45W output (i.e. charge the laptop/phone you are connected to on the lower USB-C port.
Sturdy construction.

Stellar Display for Graphics Professionals
on August 8, 2021
Posted by: Anonymous
This is a stellar portable display that is expressly designed for graphically demanding tasks. The display doesn’t disappoint, with deep blacks and vibrant color. It really has to be seen to be appreciated - it easily surpasses my other portable display that I take with me when I’m out. It gives me not just more screen real-estate but a superior display for video editing and graphics. It has sRGB and Adobe RGB modes - which is great. The monitor comes with a sheet showing the calibration results from the factory for that display.
The monitor has USB-C and miniHDMI connectors, and comes with all necessary cables - mini-HDMI, USB-C video/data cable, USB-C power cable. The connectors are located on the right hand side of the display. It can be powered via USB-C or through it’s internal battery. I am using the internal battery on the display and the mini-HDMI to HDMI cable that is included with the monitor. There was nothing I needed to make it work other than plugging it in. Battery life has been good enough for my needs - I’m using it a couple of hours a day, so there is plenty of charge left (a bit less than half). The included case covers the back of the display, and folds over the front. The front of the case has triangular folds that make a stand - which works fine. The only negative with this monitor is a minor one - the sound - it’s not very loud and quality is only fair - but that’s not what I have this monitor for.
If it isn’t clear by now, I really like this display. It surpasses my laptop’s display in image quality. It’s a premium portable monitor that is worth every penny for those that make a living creating visual content.
