Nice oven, impressive features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove replaced a 15 year old Frigidaire stove. This model has lots of features such as the air fry, convection cooking, and the stove surface has the bridged burner feature to allow long pans for such things as long griddles for cooking pancakes. The oven has two knobs for control, one for cooking function (conventional, convection, broil, etc), and the other for temperature, which takes some getting used to, but is not too bad to deal with once it s used a couple of times. A nice feature is that the display shows the current temperature of the oven as it preheats, so one can anticipate how much longer before the preheat temperature will be reached. One feature the oven does NOT have is timer cooking, as in it is not possible to set a timer for the the oven to turn off. One must be present to manually turn off the oven when the food has finished cooking. I have not used this feature, but perhaps someone else may consider this to be a deal breaker. The build quality is very good, but not perfect. I had to make a small adjustment to the oven door and bottom drawer to make them straighter. The bottom drawer is very small. Typical oven pans will not fit. Maybe a small pizza pan can go in there, but that's about it. This is very likely to make room for the spacious oven. Our oven came with three racks: a standard typical rack that slides along the oven walls, another rack that had its own ball-bearing slider that is easier to pull out, and the oven air-fry rack. The stove did not include a broiler pan, so expect to need to purchase that separately. We are reusing the broiler pan from the previous stove. We bought a Frigidaire over-the-stove microwave along with this stove. The color shade of the displays do not match. The microwave display has light blue shade, and the stove has a deeper blue display. One would think there would be a bit more uniformity across the brand in this regard. There is a thin, black bracket that can be installed along the back of the stove at the top to give it a more finished look at the wall, and hides some of the wall behind the stove, since the stove has little bumpers at the back that prevent it from being pushed right up against the wall, due to an air intake vent on the back. As long as one does not care about the lack of a timed oven feature, I do recommend this stove. It is an attractive and impressive looking appliance.

Knob that controls oven function and knob that controls oven temperature get so hot you can not hold on to them.

Temperature Limitations Not Advertised
on April 27, 2022
Posted by: Roberto D
Buy this range only if you are comfortable with two, unpublished limitations.
Oven Bake temperatures can only be set in 25-degree increments AND the Broiler can only be set to 550 degrees (even though page 22 of their manual states, “Broil sears food with the direct high heat. Use + and - 1 keys on the display to CHOOSE broil temp”)
Seems to me the 25- degree increment limitation on oven bake temperature settings AND the one setting 550-degree broil setting should have been spelled out clearly in their brochures/manual.
This is not what I expected from a top of the line Frigidaire Professional electric range.

An engineering and design marvel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve long been a lover of gas ranges but without a gas line I was forced to select an electric range. I could not have made a better choice than this stove. It actually acts very much like a great gas range; when you turn down a burner it actually drops the temperature immediately. The keep warm burner is a huge bonus. It allows me to proof yeast for baking! Who knew!! Thanks to all the designers and engineers who made this product possible.

broke after one use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Boiled water and the sensor in the large heating element that tells the light on the front of the range to go out quit working so the light would always indicate the top of the oven was hot.

I had a 20 year old kenmore that was more advanced than this. On top of that you have to use pots for the size of the burner so they dont burn out. The burner sizes are weird that isn't going to happen. the knobs you can push and turn on by accident dont like that. the fans at the back of the stove blows food contents everywhere you have to be in constant cleaning mode. and you have to take out the wracks to clean because they are cheap and would probably fall apart in the heat. so you have to clean each individual wrack and each of there individual square grating one by one. kind of defeats the purpose of self cleaning dont you thing? the oven is quite small too the pans i would normally put in there two at a time dont fit. plus they also dont want you to use tin foil in the oven which again they just want the fan to spray grease everywhere not a very well thought out design. If you want help with a design Im available

Thank you for this thorough review of your range. We understand that you have some concerns. We would be glad to help with what we can and forward all other comments to our design team. The ceramic glass cooktop has heating elements below a smooth glass surface. The designs on the ceramic cooktop outline the areas of the surface elements underneath. Be sure to always match the pan size with the diameter of the element outline on the cooktop to ensure proper distribution of heat for even cooking. Keep in mind that this model is equipped with SpacePro™ Bridge Elements. This 2-in-1 cooktop element allows endless meal options. Either use one element at a time or combine two so you can create a variety of dishes using a griddle or a large pot. Please know that the use of aluminum foil in the range is allowed. Note the Use and Care Guide does advise that you should not use aluminum foil or any other material or liners to line the oven bottom, walls, racks, or any other part of the range. Doing so will alter the heat distribution, produce poor baking results, and possibly cause permanent damage to the oven interior. It is important to note that when running a self-clean cycle you are meant to completely remove all oven racks and any accessories from the oven cavity to avoid damage to oven racks. If the oven racks are not removed they may get damaged or discolored. Regarding your concerns with the knobs, try looking into knob safety covers. If you have any questions or additional concerns, please do not hesitate to connect with us directly. We are available by phone at 800-374-4432 or via Live Chat on our website. ~Keyanna

Unhappy

Posted by: Missing old range
The only reason we bought a new range was because the oven in our old range (which we loved) stopped working. We needed an electric range, it needed to fit into the cutout in our island and there weren't a lot to choose from. The oven heats unevenly (yes, we had someone out to look at it and everything checked out) so I just have to keep rotating everything I cook. The manual doesn't even mention how to bake a casserole...only meat and baked goods. Maybe I'm the only person who still makes them?!? I don't like the fact that the edges of the stove don't overlap with the countertop, leaving gaps that are ugly and allow all kinds of crumbs, etc. to fall down into the resulting cracks. The only good thing I can say is that the burners heat up quickly. Next time someone decides to design a new range, let me know...I'd like to help!

This stove is dangerous: the oven does NOT TURN OFF and we have to throw the breaker/turn it to clean cycle 5 times to get it to stop. It should be recalled.
