Regret this dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the dishwasher is very quiet while washing, it is incredibly loud and startling while draining. It gets the dishes clean, but the dry cycle barely works. There also isn't enough space for cups. The interface is very poorly designed (the power button keeps getting bumped, you can't tell if you've turned it off or if it is set to resume, etc.). There is no indicator on the dishwasher itself to tell you that the dishes are clean-- which means family members are always asking if it's clean or dirty. Don't even get me started on the app...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bosch 800 Series

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased an 800 series dishwasher to replace a ten year old Bosch dishwasher that would cost more to repair than replace. We purchased our new unit from a local supplier and brought the unit home in December 2023. Removing the old unit didn't take long but we had to reconfigure electrical access for the new unit as newer Bosch models require a plug outlet. After a quick trip to a big box store and wiring a new plug, I had to feed a new drain line and a new water line as we were still using both original equipment in our almost 18 year old home. After completing all the necessary connections, I had to push the new unit into place, level the unit, attach metal straps to avoid shifting and ensure nothing was leaking. Installing the bottom cover plate took searching in the manual but eventually I figured out how everything fit together. I like the easy process for cleaning the internal filter and the extremely quiet operation of the unit itself. I tried to set up WiFi with our unit but couldn't get the app to sync with our model, not a game changer but maybe Bosch could improve on that issue for future models as everything connects to WiFi these days. Otherwise, very pleased with the new dishwasher and look forward to many years of clean dishes.

Not as good as I thought

All three racks have adequate or better slots for dish ware and glass ware
Cons:
Touch controls are finicky I haven't been able to change settings since the dishwasher was installed.
The cutlery basket retains water

Hi Abt shopper, thanks for your review. If your dishwasher is stuck on the Auto cycle and you are unable to switch to a different wash cycle, you may need to reset it. Follow these steps: 1) Turn on the dishwasher and open the door. 2) Press and hold the Start button until the display shows 0:01 (should take about 3-5 seconds). 3) Close the door for one full minute or until the InfoLight® is no longer illuminated on the floor. 4) Open the door and turn the dishwasher off and back on. You should now be able to select the desired cycle/options. The reset steps are also provided on page 21 of the Use & Care manual, available here: https://media3.bosch-home.com/Documents/9001641459_B.pdf. Non-intuitive Instructions

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This diswasher has been great, but I've been limited to all its features due to confusing instructions on how to use them. There are no simpllogical progressive steps on how to "program" a wash. I'm a retired mechanical engineer and not stupid, but I am frustrated.

Bosch Series 800 Dishwasher

We've only had this for a month or so but so far, we love it. It's very quiet and the three rack layout is quite convenient. Having all the silverware loaded in the top rack leave more room in the other two racks. So far it does an excellent job of cleaning and drying. We're a bit disappointed in Bosch for eliminating the little light that shines down on the floor to tell you the cycle is not yet complete. They replaced it with an obnoxious white LED that shines out into the room from the dishwasher door.

Quiet & Effective

Love my new Bosh dishwasher. My previous dishwasher was a Bosch brand as well which lasted 14yrs. The division to stay with the Bosch family was a no brainer. The new one is even quieter, cleans smartly, cycles are quick, large capacity unit, & love the Home Connect feature.
