Bosch 100 Premium Dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For about the same price I think you can get a 300 series dishwasher, which has a better interior layout and a full stainless steel interior. I was a little afraid the 300 would be too tall for my space, so I went with the 100 premium. I'm disappointed with the interior layout - the flatware rack is very small and it doesn't accomodate odd size bowls and cups. This model does have an additional third rack that can be used for flatware as well as things like spatulas or small condiment dishes. I just find that putting the flatware on the third rack takes up the space I would use for bigger utensils and is a little more labor intensive than throwing them in a rack. if you don't have a lot of oversize bowls, the layout may work for you - it is great for a lot of plates and standard size glasses. Also, it is nice that the height of the racks can be adjusted.
Pros:
- It does an awesome job of cleaning the dishes (probably mosty important)
- Very quiet
- Attractive
- Third rack, adjustable rack height
Cons:
- Not so great at drying (heard the same about the 300's)
- Rack layout is not convenient for some types of dishes
- Some of the wash modes are only accessible by downloading from the phone app

Early Days

Have had this Series 100 Premium dishwasher for a few months (2024). Mostly comparing to our previous Kitchenaid 2005 dishwasher: buttons not as intuitive to use; must also rely on app for some settings, if you open to add dishes must remember to press resume (vs automatically resuming after shutting door), definitely quieter (just be sure that is a requirement for you), filter basket very easy to reach, remove, clean and replace. Must use rinser to help dry and also select super dry mode for what was normal drying ability (withOUT rinser) of Kitchenaid. Cutlery drawer rocks. Racks seem flimsy but are fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Clean, Ineffective Rack Configuration

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like how much faster it runs than my last Whirlpool, and the dishes get very clean. The only issue is that the racks seem to have been designed by someone who has never cooked for a family and expected all the dishes to be able to fit into the dishwaser. There is no way to fit any of my cookie sheets into the dishwasher, meaning I now have to hand wash them every time. Also, the configuration of the pegs prevents me from placing as many dishes in general into the dishwasher than my last whirlpool.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My 2nd Bosch dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to replace my dishwasher and as Bosch is rated #1, I chose another Bosch. I have only had it for a few days and already am quite frustrated with it!
The silverware basket is very small and as I only wash the dishes 2 or 3 times a week and the tiny basket fills up quickly. My old Bosch had a basket twice the size of this one. I hope this was an error in packing. The dishwasher has room for at least 20 plates of different sizes so what does one do with the silverware?
I will be running the dishwasher for the first time tonight and it looks like I will be washing the silverware by hand.

Love the new dishwasher as far as noise goes, there isn't much! 🙂. We do find it a bit smaller than our old one, and the plastic stuff doesn't dry well, though.

Drying the dishes is a problem

Your dishwasher is designed to dry using the PureDry® condensation drying system. This is an energy-efficient, closed drying system that does not pull in outside air or use an exposed heating element. This process works by heating the dishes with hot water during the final rinse. The cooler stainless steel pulls moisture from the dishes. The inside of the unit will be wet at the end of the cycle, but the dishes should be dry.
