So far so good for cleaning, except….

This dishwasher is very nice but the silverware compartment is a terrible design. I previously had the Thermador sapphire series and I decided to purchase a Bosch this time. For silverware, there are only three sections (bet short and fills up quickly) and the flip separator is unusable for my silverware. I have average silverware handles, but they are too wide to fit through the grid. And this compartment is in the side, but fits half way back so it is not convenient to quickly pop in more silverware. I bought this dishwasher in a rush and based on reviews and probably should have opened it up inside the store because now that I look, none of the online photos show the silverware compartment.
Also, the entire bottom rack "prongs" are slanted - making it difficult for pots and pans and casseroles. Of course it washes good, but the design is lacking.

Washed Well -- Racks are Terrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I retired my 17 year old Kitchenaid and replaced it with the custom panel-ready Bosch 800 series dishwasher. It washes very well (I use the short 1-hour cycle) and although I air-dry by opening the door and letting steam out, and maybe shaking the water off a few plastic things, the remainder dries very well (maybe some residual action from the mineral dryer -?). But, all three racks are ridiculously over-engineered and are not NEARLY as useful as the racks in my old Kitchenaid. The silverware 'rack' is also cheap and not very useable. Fortunately, I was able to use the rack from the old Kitchenaid. No rack tine clips are included to retain light things (like quart yogurt containers or other light weight items). In short, the interior really needs to be redesigned, but the machine washes and dries well, and is very quiet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worth the money-so quiet!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have a full open concept kitchen, dining, and living area and needed a cabinet front, ultra quiet DW. BOSCH was the perfect solution. The first time I used it I thought I had made an error. I could not hear it at all and thought it was actually off. Put my ear directly on the door before I could hear it!! Please note that cabinet ready units require a specific panel weight to make the spring mechanism work. Be sure your cabinetmaker reads design limitations.

Bosch Series 800 Dishwasher Review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We previously had a Kitchenaid dishwasher that required cleaning the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Not so with the Bosch. Just scrape them off & put them in. So far, only one pan with cooked on scrambled eggs did not come out clean.
The only down side so far is that the dishwasher gets to stinking after a couple of days with the food residue on the dishes.
I would recommend this to a friend!
