By far the best dishwasher we ever had

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you’re the kind of person who wants your appliances to just work without making a fuss, the Bosch 800 Series SHV78CM3N might be exactly what you're looking for. It’s super quiet—like, 42 dBA quiet—so you can actually hear yourself think (or chat over dinner) while it’s running. And even with a full load—up to sixteen place settings—everything still comes out sparkling. The PrecisionWash sensors are constantly adjusting the spray pattern based on what’s inside, so it doesn’t waste a drop.
One of my favorite things? It completely disappears behind custom cabinetry. So if you're going for that clean, built-in look in the kitchen, it blends right in.
What really makes it easy to love, though, are the everyday touches. The racks glide smoothly (even when full), and that third rack up top is a game changer for silverware and little odds and ends—no more cramming everything into the utensil basket. The floor-level InfoLight is subtle but helpful, especially since you can barely hear the thing when it's on. And with the Home Connect app, you can check if the cycle’s done—or reorder detergent—from your phone. Super convenient.
Now, about the drying—Bosch’s CrystalDry with PowerControl isn’t just a buzzword. It actually works. Even plastic containers come out totally dry, which is not something I could say about my last dishwasher. Add in the adjustable racks and sturdy build, and it feels like something that’s going to last for years without much thought.
It’s not flashy, but it is solid, sleek, and really thoughtfully designed. Honestly, you install it once and then kinda forget about it... which is probably the best compliment a dishwasher can get.

Solid Dishwasher with note of caution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 2nd Bosch dishwasher and we sprung extra $ for the Crystal Dry technology which from all that I can tell, is absolutely NOT worth it! Have even enabled other options/settings that website says will help drying. Very unfortunate since after 28 uses, the amount of water that resides on tops of mugs for example is the same, if not more, than our older dishwasher. Everything else is fine but I would not recommend paying extra for that feature.

Good dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishwasher is extremely quiet. That is the main perk. However, some of the inside plastic parts feel very cheap. The silverware holder is not very big. And the adjustable rack has not broken but feels cvery shaky and like it could. Also door is hard to adjust and therefore shuts very fast with our lightweight cabinet door

Your dishwasher is designed to dry using the PureDry® condensation drying system. This is an energy-efficient, closed drying system that does not pull in outside air or use an exposed heating element. This process works by heating the dishes with hot water during the final rinse. The cooler stainless steel pulls moisture from the dishes. The inside of the unit will be wet at the end of the cycle, but the dishes should be dry. It's important to note that plastics don’t retain heat as well as other dishware materials and don’t dry as well. To improve drying results, we recommend turning on the Intensive Drying feature. Worked great until warranty ran out

we loved our BOSCH 800 Series Dishwasher until after about 14 months (two months after the warranty expire. After the warranty expired the spring in the door broke and the machine stops working in the middle of cycles.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Whisper-Quiet and Spotless Every Time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bosch SHV78CM3N is hands down the best dishwasher I’ve owned. It’s whisper-quiet—you barely know it’s running—and everything comes out spotless, even tricky plastics thanks to CrystalDry.
The racks are smartly designed, especially the third rack for utensils, and I can load way more without the usual hassle. Plus, the panel-ready design blends perfectly into the kitchen, and the Wi-Fi feature is a nice bonus.
If you want a dishwasher that looks great, runs silently, and actually does its job better than expected, this is the one.

Cleans well; drying needs a little improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit cleans extremely well. No issues there at all. The drying of silverware on the third rack needs some improvement. Often I need to dry off the silverware when unpacking the dishwasher. And this is with the use of Crystal Dry.
