[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This model does everything my old Bosch dishwasher did. It holds many more dishes, which is a surprise! Gets dishes clean. My only complaint is about the app. Why does anyone need an app for a dishwasher?

Good, but not great dishwasher

Bosch was said by most to be THE company for dishwashers, and the 800 series model as the "top of the line". After 3 months in my estimation it's tad bit over-hyped.
My wife and I purchased as part of a major kitchen remodel earlier this year and selected the Bosch 800 to replace our 6 year old Kitchen Aid that had performed without issues.
Firstly, one aspect that was definitely not overhyped was how quiet it is. It definitely is hard to know when it's running. The less impressive aspects are the rack layout and overall lack of quality in the materials used. As an engineer, I appreciate how products are designed for ergonomics and ease of use, and frankly this layout has me scratching my head in frustration at times. Placement of taller objects such as water bottles or wine glasses is challenging, and the adjustable shelves on the top rack are more of a nuisance.
On the plus side I have grown quite accustomed to the separate silverware tray. This does come with a tradeoff in the limited height for taller items previously mentioned. In general it does a very capable job of getting items clean- I would score it as a 9 out of 10, but not significantly better than the solid performance of our middle-of-the-road former D/W.
Also while I understand the lack of a printed version of the owner's manual with the unit, the digital versions are more confusing then necessary. I've been having difficulty figuring out what some of the indicator lights blinking at me recently even mean. Why not simply make a manual available in .pdf format for reference/ download?
Overall a very solid product that could easily be better.

Excellent features but...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Without question, the Bosch 800 gets your items clean. I love that plastic can go on any level and the flexibility to move the 2nd row to adjust for taller items. However, I am still struggling how to load it efficiently. My bowls don't fit on the 2nd row like the video shows. And doesn't leave enough room for coffee cups and glassware. Actually like the 3rd level silveware - I was a little concerned about using it but have no issues at all and there is never any leftover food stuck to spoons!
