Bag materials are high quality, but zippers do not work well, and the shoulder strap is terrible. Once the bag is even partially full, the shoulder strap is painful to use. Since I didn't find these issues until after taking the bag on a few trips, I can't return it anymore so will just live with it. I ended up buying a shoulder pad to attach to the strap in order for it to be usable. Pretty disappointed and would recommend everyone test the bag out at the store before purchasing.

I haven’t gotten it to its first use yet but it’s sitting on my bed and ready to be packed. I think it’s going to work out well. Plenty of room to add whatever I need to take with me. I’m going to have to make a choice between the Navigation Backpack and this. It has multiple grab / carry handles and internal tie downs.

Older version was better

Older version that had the extra compartment on top was much better because it saved space for trips where you didn’t need to bring a full Dopp kit. Please bring back the older model!!!!

Excellent Product quality and features.
A quality product with many options. Storage and organization as expected from a reputable company like Tumi. I use Tumi products over the years, and this duffel keeps the tradition. The less positive reviews I've read are pretty flat. Excellent product, highly recommended.

Great bag. Holds a lot more than you thought it would for sure. The blue is very beautiful and brilliant. The “shoe sack” kind of takes up most of the inside of the bag so to me it’s pointless. But it’s a good thought. Over all, quality you expect from Tumi!

High Quality Materials, Terrible Functional Design

Given to me by my spouse. The construction and materials are very high quality and durable. However, the overall design is lacking and honestly made me wonder if anyone at Tumi actually used it before final approval. The shoe compartment is useless as it takes up too much of the space inside the bag. Even when not using it the material for the compartment is thick so in itself it takes up too much room. The strap is uncomfortable. I bought a cheap strap pad and that helps but I would expect better quality from Tumi. The 2 zippered end compartments are near impossible to open when the bag is on your shoulder since the zipper is between the bag and strap and any weight at all in the bag prevents the zipper from opening. Even the front long exterior compartment is difficult to unzip if there is any bend in the bag while wearing. All 3 of those zippers are ones you would most likely want to open when traveling and wearing the bag on your shoulder. Finally, zippers on the end compartments open from the lower part in front of the bag making it very easy for items to fall out. I wondered if I was being too picky but feel vindicated after reading several reviews with my same exact disappointments.
